And your record was?

:laugh1:

5-11, had nothing to do with our offensive line, probably our 31st defense in the NFL...but thats just a guess...

NFL network still saying he got 49 million. Just said it again.

The ticker at the bottom of the screen says 5 yrs/25 mill. Somebody is goofing. Either the ticker guy or the reporter. I don't think there's any way in the world that Dockery gets 49mil.

their o-line is still better than ours IMO. They have 3 pro bowl type players on their line, and a very solid center, and my bro who is a skins fan said that pucillo did very well in spot duty last year and can play almost every position on the o-line, and is only 27 yrs old.

Randy Thomas should be a pro bowler
Samuels is a pro bowler
Jansen is solid
Rabach is solid
Pucillo is average

They were 4th in the NFL in rush offense last year and were tied for the league lead with the Chargers for least sacks allowed.

They wont miss a beat with a healthy Portis back there next year, and Betts to help him out.

Just my non homer opinion.
Learn to count dude, that doesn't add up to three pro bowl type players. Anyway that doesn't define a great line, the Cowboys have two guys that were actually in the pro bowl and there were actually three of the five from the 2005 line and they weren't exactly a great line.

Sorry I forgot to put Jansen as a potential pro bowler.

But you have to admit, their o-line was pretty damn good.

They only allowed 19 FREAKIN SACKS ALL SEASON, even with Boo-nell at the helm!

We allowed 38!

I don't think they can be that much worse without Dockery.

Well the talking heads keep saying the big numbers.

Yep you've got to be right bum. I have my Tivo frozen on the ticker report that says 5 yrs/25 mil (during the Walls/Springs kidney transplant story). I've watched for it to come by again with the 5yr/25mil info and his hasn't shown up again.

The sad thing is, the ticker story is the only one that makes any sense. 49mil for that POS is ridiculous. If that's the way FA is going to go. I'f prefer we don't play at all. Draft and groom. Screw em!

My sources tell me Dockery signed for either 25 or 49 million.

Or some number in between. :D

Buffalo on Friday night reached an agreement with four-year veteran Derrick Dockery, who had played his entire career with the Washington Commanders, on a seven-year, $49 million contract, ESPN.com learned.

The total contract equals the deal that "transition" free agent Steve Hutchinson signed with the Minnesota Vikings last year, a league record for a guard. The contract includes $18.5 million in guarantees and will pay Dockery $23 million in the first three seasons.

seems to be pretty firm now. Dockery got just a little less then Steinbach did- and Steinbach is a MUCH better player.

so basically this will be a 3 yr deal for 23 mil.

so for Derrick Dockery?

year 1: 7.6 million bonus
year 2: 7.6 million bonus
year 3: 7.6 million bonus
year 4: 4.7 base
year 5: 4.7 base
year 6: 4.7 base
year 7: 4.7 base

And 7.5 million not guaranteed to be allocated in the 7 year period, assuming some of that is for cap loopholes and whatnot, this doesn't look so inflated after the first 3 years. Right?
