Honestly, I could see him not being signed. We know the market was thin when Buffalo signed him. He's coming off a not so good year (though, admittedly, not all his own fault).

But he reaped what he sowed. Had he just shut up and put up in Dallas, he'd still have been there.

Miles, Dez, and Roy kind of makes you forget Owens was in Dallas....

I think TO's noise in Dallas was done to cover up the deficiencies in his game. He was on his downhill slide.

No disrespect, but what does TO or his market have to do with the Cowboys? I thought we moved past him?

1006 receptions
14,951 yards
144 TD's

I think he will play for 2.5 million for someone, to round up those career numbers.

He's the latest Quincy Carter for us.

There were bitter debates from both sides, so the debates are still going on.

Hated him before he came here, neutral on him now. Hard to believe there is no market, even if he is on the downside of his career. It must be about his asking price and attitude, because clearly he can still play.

He probably hurt his own cause by going to play for a group of quarterbacks like they have in Buffalo. I guarantee you that if you put Owens on the Patriots or Colts (teams with good quarterbacks) he'd still catch 80 balls.

Say what you want about him, but he's a physical specimen and he can probably play until he's 40. That is, for teams willing to deal with his baggage and with a mature quarterback and coaching staff.

It is the off season.

I could really use a 2nd basemen on my adult league softball team. It doesn't pay much, and there is little media attention, but we usually have a good time drinking beer in the parking lot after the game.

Well I wasn't there so...

Dude, c'mon. It happened with at least 3 teams he was on. Only desperate Buffalo would touch him last year and not even Washington or the Raiders will give him a look now. It happened in enough places, enough times, where the truth (not perception) has been spread. Do you really think it's some "perception" issue?

Are the Desperados still around? Look at what they did for Shante Carver's career.

rams would be smart to bring him in, raiders seem like they should take a look as well

I know everyone is going to hate on me for this, but say come Augest 15th he has no team and we have a offer on the table for Crayton and Hurd i'd call up Owens see where his head is at and if he really did turn a new leaf, i'd bring him in to be the 4th WR.

Just imagine a set with Austin, Ogletree, Bryant, Owens, Witten on the field. No way you can cover them all (notice I had OgleTree over RW11, it'd probably be RW11 over OgleTree)

When someone is Owens' age their personality is pretty much set. So I doubt he would have turned over a new leaf.

Oh, the irony of trading Crayton because he's upset about being the No. 4 receiver and turning around and signing T.O. as his replacement.

Anything is possible, plus he had Brian Brohm, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Trent Edwards, probably the worst 3 QBs that played a snap last year excluding Jake Delhomme, Marc Bulger and JaMarcus Russel as his 3 QBs, yet he still produced like a upper echolon #2, now say we bring him in as the #4. No way a team can stop us, say RW11 is sucking it up like usual and either Miles or Dez is hurt, then we go from being insanely packed at WR to pretty light. So say you have Owens, Bryant/Owens or Austin/Owens in case of an injury is still a god durn explosive WR core, it would just be so deadly that team DC's would cry.
