Does anyone else get angry?

Nope, after 9/11/2011 and after 30+ years, that game was it for me.....When refs make a conscience decision to not throw flags to protect a team (Jets) because of external factors, then it's just not worth the heartache......its just been too many ups and way more downs over the last 20 years......

The fact it's about the Jets and not the top teams in the NFL says something about our offensive playbook.

You mean an offensive playbook that has a rookie QB going through it? We also went up against, and I'll go ahead and throw this prediction out there again, a pretty damn good defense.

Fitzpatrick isn't a franchise QB, but he's certainly no scrub. He's on Kitna's level. Jets will score points against average defenses. Linehan is not a bad OC, he's a good one. He proved this in 2014 when he had a capable QB.

Leon Lett ruined my Thanksgiving dinner. I couldn't stay for dessert, I just didn't have the appetite for it. Then I grew up and had kids, real life and all that.

If I had a hobby, any hobby, that made me angry all of the time - or even a good bit of the time - I'd find a new hobby. What's the point of doing something by choice that makes you upset?

But hey, to each his own.

I was sick when Leon Lett touched that blocked kick. I went to bed without second helpings.

But I've grown up a lot, got married, had kids just like you. I just don't get angry over football anymore. Well, maybe a momentary mad spell (like when T. Williams didn't get out of bounds), but it never lingers. I'm just not as emotionally invested like I used to be. Don't get me wrong - I want the Cowboys to win and get upset when they lose. But it just doesn't get to me like it used to, especially the losses.

I only get mad during games and shortly after. There is a point where you simply got to let out your frustration from what you see. But there is no way it lingers for me. Football is entertainment, winning or losing. I know it's blasphemy to say, but even when the Cowboys lose and have no chance of playoffs, there are still going to be teams filling those slots and I just love watching football.

I watch a lot of other games also. I get disappointed with Dallas but not mad any more. After 20 years, I have gotten numb to some of the questionable playing of the Dallas Cowboys. I unfortunately expected Dallas to lose to the Giants.

Yes.

What i have come to realize is about 75% of the board rarely watches other teams and their style, growth, etc. Many think its all bad luck and execution....for the better part of 20 years

Serious question. Does anyone else get absolutely mad when watching real and up to date NFL style coached games? The Jets offense on paper isn't as good as ours and yet they are moving the ball at will against a formidable defense. It's infuriating.
Why do you say the Jets offense isn't as good as Dallas'...especially with Dak in there?
They have better WRs.
Fitzpatrick is much , MUCH better than Dak at this very early stage.
Forte is a good all around back.
And their line is plenty good enough.

I just have that blank, apathetic and zombified stare of discontentment that only comes from two decades of accepted mediocrity. I don't have the energy are care to be angry anymore. It's Jerry's team, the idiot's going to do whatever he wants with it. No use in allowing this owner and coaching staff to affect my emotions, and therefore my livelihood. Yet, I still love and root for the Cowboy's, and hope to see them win another championship in my lifetime. My first memories of the Cowboy's were their Superbowl wins in the 90's before I was even 10. I sure was spoiled.

You're welcome.

I mean seriously, if there are fans who sit around getting pissed watching some random Thursday night Bills/Jets game because they've connected it to the Cowboys, I can't even imagine what kind of circus sideshow they become during an actual Cowboys game.

What does a fan like that do? Yell at people? Hit their dog? Throw stuff at the TV? Punch a hole in the wall? LOL

My lord.

What's the point in looking forward to football season if it's just going to piss you off when it actually gets here?
I used to get mad when the Cowboys lost, I even broke a remote a few times:mad:

However, I am now used to the Cowboys losing in the most unbelievable ways possible so I just laugh now. It also helps that I recognize Garrett as one of the worst coaches in the NFL and that we will get outcoached every Sunday so I don't really have any expectations of winning.

So when we do win, its more like a pleasant surprise...........the remote thanks me for this change in attitude:)

Watching the Giants game again: the offensive line is disgusting. We need a real head coach

Our offense isn't designed to make plays or score points, it's designed to keep our defense off the field, remember? And it's a rousing success so far -- we're by far No. 1 in the NFL in time of possession per drive AND plays per drive.

Isn't it great?

You don't like FGs?

Garrett would say you are not a RKG for questioning this great offense.;)

Decker, Marshall, and Forte or not slouches by any means. I think the Jets offense is extremely underrated. If they are clicking like they were tonight, it's very hard to stop that offense.

Fitzgerald is an experienced QB who isn't scared to take a hit. Like Romo.

Dak will get there, but this offense needs Romo now. Hope he can hold up.

Jets offense on paper is every bit as good as ours, especially without Romo.

Isn't what matters passing differential? I swore I heard that somewhere. ...

The only time in life that I get mad is when reading posts on CZ.

If this is actually true, and you're not trolling, you have a problem.

Football season is supposed to be fun, enjoyable, for football fans.

You seriously sit around getting angry watching non-Cowboys games?

Hell, I don't even get angry watching games that involve the Cowboys. Maybe disappointed at times. Never exceeds that though.
The jets had no problem getting the ball to their best WR. Dez had like one catch, and there are games where he almost completely disappears. That should infuriate you.

You have a problem too. You're a sanctimonious, lecturing windbag. Pretty sure that when he said he got angry, he was simply making a point about what he perceives as a lack of quality coaching and execution on this team. And then you felt the need to turn it into some diatribe about how he should be acting more like you.

FWIW, I don't think anyone should act like you. You're annoying as hell.

I go through all the emotions. Anger, sadness, disbelief, then as the days pass and it gets closer to the next game disbelief, synicism, then hope.

Like a freaking roller coaster. One day I hope to feel joy.
