Does anyone else think different and better coaching could help Dak?

It’s no doubt a tough road to enhance our situation more than a divisional round in playoffs . Might be about as good as it gets.

But a couple of good picks in draft at RB and or a receiver couldn’t hurt.

This is all Jethro Jone$ needs to hype and pimp his product. He’d prob take a divisional round loss and 13 wins every year.
Yup a 13 win season keeps those seats filled and that’s his main goal.Don’t be fooled.

We have fans who see our situation as problematic. Jethro Jone$ sees it as successful.

For a snake salesman who can sell the hell out of 8-8, this is easy peasy . Shoot, they won their first road playoff game in like 30 years and made it to divisional round .

What a season for this frikin football idiot. Lol
Dont forget "We were in this game until Pollard got hurt" its comming brace for it.

I don’t think there’s this big jump from him that gets him into that mvp caliber or top 5 guy ever. I do think an offensive scheme change could make him more consistent.

Dak is better when he’s rolling out and on the move. It doesn’t make sense for a guy with accuracy issues but it’s the truth. If he continues to be managed like an in the pocket qb he’ll continually be limited. Even this year he really only started to use his legs the last few games and particularly the post season.

Dak is talented. We’ve seen it, he’s just not consistent and that’s what separates him from that truly next level.
So why don't the Cowboys just Hire My Old High School Coach. . . . And while we are doing the Prep School offense. . . Why don't they incorporate the wish bone

And when teams key in on this and Dak struggles . . . We can all complain that this OC just doesn't understand Dak . . . But the Next one after Him will for sure Fix Our Most Awesomely paid Player

Good point. If we are stuck with him for 2 years, at least make the most of it. Maybe let McCarthy choose one. Or can both of them and get a new HC and OC.

Exactly. We have him for at least 2 more years. We know -Moore isn't the answer. Seven years-same results. We suck without Moore?? We get a high draft pick to draft Dak's replacement. The New OC gets Dak to play great!!! We win a Super Bowl. We as fans!!! We win in either scenario.

Wouldn't bet the house on it, but we may have no choice. Also, the rest of the team has to be on their game. How many good free agents we gonna lose?

You cannot coach up talent..........or else Tim Tebow and a whole bunch of QB would still be in the NFL.
Dak is our version of Tim with a great PR dept!!!!
People equate His Physicality with "Talent" . . . This could apply to every other position on the Gridiron but not the QB . . . Talent is measured by what is between the ears . . . It is what it is

Now as far as Tebow and Dak . . . The difference is Jerry went all in with His support of Dak . . . If Teabow had an Owner who Loved Him the way Jerry Loved Dak, He may have won a Super Bowl

No, just the opposite.
With this so called predictable offense Dak is still too slow mentally in processing defensive looks, reads and options in real time.
If you go to a whole new offense and playcaller he would fail much worse.

He's peaked/reached his ceiling.
It's just unfortunate that that was as a rookie.

It’s not prep school offense. Russell Wilson when he was effective was very similar. Bootlegs and rollouts. You just incorporate them into the offense. That’s what coaches and franchises do- you strategize to bring out the best in your players and play to their strengths. You sprinkle this stuff into the gameplan.

You can want dak gone, I can want dak gone but he’s not going anywhere. That’s just facts. Contractually he’s here through next season as is but he’s likely extended to a lower cap hit this year to free up money for the team. So we can either ***** and moan and complain about or you try to emphasize things he does well and make it work the best we can

Rodgers is another quarterback he throws great on the run and his coordinators have got him on the moves for years. Now dak has nowhere near the talent of Rodgers or Wilson in his prime but the point is that this is what teams all around the league do regardless of position- you coach to your players and teams strengths you don’t try to fit a square peg into a round hole and have him be mainly a pocket passer.

I saw another post that said switch QBs and Dallas wins comfortably. Whereas I get the premise, I suspect Kyle Shanahan would have killed Dallas with Dak at QB over Purdy.
I think Micah would have had Dak crapping His pants and then our Safeties would have intercepted him 5x while they key in on His eyes as he stares down the WR running a Curl Route

Do what Jimmy Johnson has been saying for a while now.

“His No. 1 strength is he is a great leader for that football team,” Johnson said this week on Fox Sports’ The Herd. “He can win you a championship if you got really good players around him. They’ve had some injuries with the running game. They’re not running the football as well they did before Dak got injured. When they’re running the football, those play-action passes, Dak is really good. … But when he’s got to drop back and start reading the whole field and make decisions about where he’s throwing the football, and the defense isn’t slowing down for the run … he’s not near as good. He can win you a championship, but you better get the running game back.”

no one asked me if his pay next year matched his level, they asked if a new OC would help so i answered they could come in a scheme to the players we have strengths, literally said Dak does not have some "Pocket Passer" gear they would unlock because its not there.
So Kellen who has been with Dak his whole carear is clueless to what Dam's strengths are . . . But some random outsider (apparently anybody) knows Dak and this team like the back of His hand . . . (causing everyone to learn a new playbook)

Snap out of it . . . If there is no open competition next year at the starting QB position . . . The Boys are screwed

Jethro Jone$ says you need to define screwed. Lol

Cause 13 wins, a road playoff win and divisional round playoff appearance is looking Purdy good.

He can hype and sell the hell out of it.

Maybe but Reid rode with MCNabb for years also, now if Mahomes was on the roster then sure he would but if you bet your life Ried would ride with Cooper Rush over Dak I might weep for you at your funeral. Again choices make situations what they are and right now other than some Madden dream we dont have many QB choices other than changing what we are asking this QB to do.
This is true and Reid had McNabb and Malholmes sit their 1st year which was one of the main reasons I wanted Tony reinserted as the starter . . . I believe if Dak would had sat at the end of 2016 it would have benefited His career . . . (I am a big believer in this.)

I believe the speed of the game ruins QBs if they are thrown to the Wolves and I learned it from Reid

With that being said . . . The NFL is different now. It is Tailor made for Offensive minds like Reid. . . . Reid would have cut bait with Dak long time ago . . . Reid would have given him the non exclusive franchise tag and used those 2 #1 draft picks to move up in the draft

Who knows who we would have gotten the would be 4 #1 picks (over 2 years) to package to trade up
