I feel like we had to of. If they moved up to 11 why wouldn't they at least inquire at 10 knowing also that Dallas is always a wild card. Don't you think they'd be worried about Dallas trading down with say NE and them losing there guy?I'm pretty sure that would be the busiest thread here, if that had happened, so I'm gonna guess no
No we didn’t. It’s been reported we didn’t get that offer. I don’t know why people are still so upset about something that never wasto trade down to 20?

Maybe the Bears didn't think it would be worth the extra they'd have to give up for one more spot. Maybe they were working their way down the line until they found the first team willing to make a deal.I feel like we had to of. Disagree. This is not a super bowl contender team IMO. I would of taken the 1st rd pick next year.In hindsight it would have been a mistake. Who would Dallas have picked? Barmore, Moehrig? I was all for it, I just didn't foresee both of those players dropping as far as they did. I thought they'd go sooner than their projection.
As it turns out, Dallas could have traded up for either of those two relatively cheap. I don't think they wanted either one.
They offered Andy Dalton for our 10th pick. Straight up. I think we missed out.

Not only that but we are trying to win now. I don’t care about next years draft capital that’s Stephen Jones’s obsession. I’m not trading down to 20 in a top heavy draft. It’s silly. No we didn’t. In retrospect, that looks like the most likely scenario. When the corners went, Parsons was their top defensive player left. There was a big drop off after him on their boards.
They knew that they could still get one of Slater or Parsons if they dropped down two spots so they were willing to risk that. But dropping down to 20 means they’re both gone. And they likely weren’t willing to miss out on both
That may be how you feel but as of right now every team thinks they are a contender at this point in the season. There’s no process like Jason Garrett use to spoon feed you. You can go from bad to good if you make the correct moves in your offseason.Disagree. This is not a super bowl contender team IMO. I would of taken the 1st rd pick next year.
Exactly. And I also dont like this organization trading away from talent. It worked one time with Fredericks.....Never get too cute and honestly I don’t know why the Giants took the deal. I would’ve taken Fields or Slater if I were them. The trade down worked somewhat for them because they still got a very good receiver but I’m not even sure what their insistence was at getting a receiver anyway.

I agree and they know better than me I’m not gonna sit here and say what they should’ve done but to me if they need offensive line help they could’ve plugged Slater at guard or tackle. And Daniel Jones is tricky. I can get not getting Fields....if they still believe in Jones. They clearly do and are about to give him and Garrett another year together. Yikes....I think the Eagles got the Giants in that trade up. They hoped to get Smith, and when Philly moved up and grabbed him, there wasn’t anyone they loved more than getting that additional 1st rounder next year. They had their quarterback and left tackle drafted the two years prior.
