Does anyone really think Dak would veto trade at this point?

I think the only way he agrees to a trade is if he's benched in lieu of Lance. It will be a tough year, but then, and only then does he maybe "want" to leave Dallas.

And this scenario isn't likely to happen.

Would veto a trade at this point? Seriously what does he get from staying with this organization vs anyone else at this point? This is like watching a broken record with different names on the back of NPC's at this point. So besides money which he already has what else could he get from staying in Dallas.
Dont underestimate greed. It burns deep in young Daks dark soul.

He won't find an easy owner to milk money from like JJ

Teams are still giving a 35 year old Kirk Cousins contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and he has won nothing of importance.

Some team out there would give Prescott a huge bag in seconds.

More money.
lol
Dallas is probably the only place where he still has a chance at $55,000,000.00+ per year.
No one else is foolish enough to offer it.

You negotiating contracts. One of the most important things Jerry sells players on is look at Troy, Romo, and Irvin. Your career after football can be great on television. Or you can sell them on Stauback, Emmitt and Woodson on their careers outside of football in general. Jerry has also taken care of the Quincy Carter types.
Look, I see your point. It's all nonsense though, because no one ever gives the discount. Jerry can preach all he wants. It never works. These guys will make money anywhere, if they have the talent. They know it, and their agents know it.

I agree Dallas is an extraordinary opportunity, but it doesn't matter. The proof is in the pudding.

He says it to get the fans on his side against the players. For the most part it works.

Fair enough, yes we always want guys to take less so there is more to go around. That's not to say he'd spend it anyway. Our FO is all about fan manipulation. I guess that's what you have to do when you can't simply win.

if Jerry wanted to trade Dak, they could get it done.

I believe that a QB who was benefiting from pushing his bloated cap charges into the future should have to stick around and play out the years when the bill comes due. Imagine he could play here for years, never accomplish anything, leave us with all sorts of dead money, go to a new team and start over there with nice tiny cap charges. The circle of life in the NFL I suppose. I would love to see him stick around and play the year on the full tab.

I don't think so. It wasn't mental with him until recently. It isn't easy being the QB of the Cowboys. Win or lose you're going to be the headline on TV each week. And it get's double when the playoffs start because of our past failures many of whom didn't even involve Dak. If he goes someplace else he can start over.
I’ve watched Dak since high school. He’s a mental midget on every team he’s been the starting QB. He’s never elevated a team from the QB position. He’s always had to be carried. We have too big of a deficiency at the GM position to overcome a Dak type QB. We need a game changer. You’ll never get one if you don’t put stock in one. For me, 12-5 and no SB is the same as 5-12. The only benefit is getting a higher draft pick.

Kinda late in free agency for that to take place.

Maybe if GM Jeruh, understood it takes communication to make something like that happen.

Dak will be free next year, GM Jethro will be happy with his comp pick. Dak can choose his own destiny. Why would he not wan that?

We would he want his new team to give up multiple picks to get him? How is that going to help him win???

Do you think if Dak was 100% happy in Dallas, he would allow his brother to crap on the organization constantly?

Dak is complaining to Tad about Dallas. Maybe he would prefer Tad says nothing, or maybe he likes that his brother can say what he really feels for him.

How do you know what Dak is doing?

Maybe he does prefer Tad says nothing.

Maybe you have no idea, and you are just speculating???

Your Dak fandom comes out at random times and you go off on people when they say something you don't like.

You're speculating too it's a known fact if it's coming from the relative the player is probably the one initiating it.

No one would want relatives talking crap about their dream jobs on social media. There's issues there.

"Maybe he does prefer Tad say nothing?"

I literally said that. But that doesn't mean Dak isn't bad mouthing the Cowboys maybe he just wants it private. Have an original thought.
