Does anyone think that Super Bowls don't grow on trees?

Don't grow on tress and it's actually a tough road to win one as the reason why we haven't been, instead of blaming Jerry or the Coach every year?

Think about the San Diego, Bengals, Falcons

These organizations somewhat mirror us. They have talent but either just miss the playoffs or get knocked out in the first round.

The reason, winning a championship is hard. Like DeWayne Wade told LeBron after their first title together.

But does anyone ask Arthur Blank to sell the team because they are coming up short? No. Do you even know the names of the owners of the Bengals (Mike Brown) and only "hard knocks fans would really know that" or Chargers (Alex Spanos)

But you could say that those owners aren't' GM/Presidents...oh wait Mike Brown is the president of the Bengals. Or we can take Commanders owner Dan Snyder who isn't a GM or president and the fans still outcry from Snyder to sell the team.

The only reason we pick on Jerry and Washingtonians pick on Snyder is because they are well known owners.

So lets tackle the coaches they brought in (as they do have a say in that) due to this "gotta have it now" feeling in the U.S. every team thinks that they are rightly entitled ti a Super Bowl every 4 years. When that doesn't work. (because building a TEAM isn't a 3 year process) these owners are pressured into firing what could have been a good head coach. (See the Jets stint with Pete Carroll and the Browns with Bill B.)

In the infancy of the NFL, teams kept coaches for more or less UNTIL they won, Chuck Noll (Steelers) was HC of the Steelers and didn't start winning until 1972 (his 3rd season) before that Noll won only 12 of 32 games coached. Laundry only won 9 games (within 3 years). In today NFL these coaches would have been fired.

The bottom line is that we have to be patient. I think a lot of think is karma but not in a bad way. think of all the teams in sports you know that have few champions. After the Steelers won their 4 titles you couldn't find them in the 80's. In basket ball when Bird and Magic left the Celtics and Lakers where at the bottom of the totem pole fir about 8 years or so. Even tho this team didn't win the Super Bowl but the Bills made it to 4 straight Super Bowls, and have only won one playoff game since.

So does anyone think that it's not solely on us. However the fact that Super Bowls aren't easy to by but we will get on soon?

Sure, but there's a difference between winning one and having a chance to win one. Yes, I agree, winning a Super Bowl is very hard to do and people like Peyton probably shouldn't be judged for only having one. BUT Peyton has had a chance to win one every single year since his rookie year. Same with Brady besides the one year they missed the playoffs (after their first Super Bowl). We've only ever had a Super Bowl caliber team once in Romo's career (the 13-3 season). Finishing 8-8 every year isn't impressive. Finishing about 12-4 for a decade straight (what Peyton did) is impressive.

It's even tougher to get there when you have an owner like Jerry playing GM and a semi-HC like Garrett costing us a few games each year due to his incompetence.

Well, 90% of the posting zoners know enough to coach the Dallas Cowboys to the SB every year.

Dont believe me? Ask them.

What team has won the most SBs since JJ aquired the Dallas Cowboys?

I'd be happy with a consistent playoff team. There are plenty of those teams in the NFL. I know SB's don't grow on trees but I'd like to see the Cowboys compete in the playoffs every year.

Not a fan of the team but the Pats have the right formula. Consistently good to very good teams with player turnover. They draft well. They have a great staff. They don't overpay guys that are done. And oh yea they have a great owner.

Who says SB every year? How about the playoffs more than once every 17 years. We are one of only 3 teams to sink that low. Again, this is the same organization that has been historically a winner...a record 20 straight seasons at one point. Why not expect better than mediocrity or bottom of the barrel?

Send in your resume. Im sure its quite impressive.

I might send in my resume to be game/clock manger coach if we keep Garrett another year because Lord knows Garrett needs A LOT of help in that department.

Another thing I forget to mention is in case of Pitt, Dallas and Bills. Is if you win a Super Bowl you become prey and once that happens you enter rebuilding mode. It's night an over night thing. How can a coach succeed if he knows that after his 3rd season he may get fired for not going to the playoffs.

Well not only do the players make millions but the coaches do as well. I bet Jerry was still paying Wade after he got fired. Jason makes millions.

So when fans pay hundreds to just attend one game "patience" takes on a different meaning.

Some teams get very good very quickly. We haven't for various reasons. I think Jason is awful. I mean bottom of the league awful.

I am really itching to see what the patriots will look like when Bill Belichick leave, retires, whatever. Like I said about the Cowboys and Steelers. After this run is over watch how the Pats decline. There was almost a 10 year drought (Pittsburgh has there sporadically) to get those teams in winning fashion.

How does Jerry cost us games? So you figure if Jerry names new HC, GM and president all hope will be restored and we go to the Super Bowl, how'd that working out in Oakland?

When do how much money players & coaches make have to do with winning a SB?

Pretty much no one says SB every year, it's yet another strawman argument aimed at deflecting.

Most fans (myself included) were basically wetting themselves after winning one playoff game in 2009.

I'd be over the moon if ths team could even muster a conference championship game appearance, never mind a win.

That would be a good question for Jerry Jones since he's the guy who's been firing head coaches every three years. Not the fans.

And I think that's all Cowboy fans want. A professionally run organization for a change, not this circus we have had to endure as of late.

Slow down. You're giving us too much to think about.
