Does Dak even think about it?

its the simple minded cult. they can't comprehend complex issues. so they want a single point of failure and then point fingers at it, as if fixing that single point of failure is going to fix EVERYTHING, where reality has proven otherwise.

I am not making Romo to be anything great or not great. not a debate about that. Romo was talented enough to win a championship, yet he failed in Dallas. its a Dallas-GM issue, not a single player issue.
Yeah, worse QBs have made the SB. Hell, in 2016 we were a contender and Dak was a rookie. We had an average to bad defense. A better built team could get us there. What happened after that season is that the GM did what he does every year. Not make moves to try to put us over the top. I blame Dak for a lot of crap, but I can't blame him for that.

Pocket watching Cowboys fans. Does anyone look at Jerry’s smug sons and grandson sitting in the box like royalty. At least Jerry risked it all to buy the Cowboys while his family will inherit a 13+ billion dollar franchise. While you guys want to crap on the players who happened to be at the top of their fields skill wise. By the way most players end up broke at the end of their playing days with football related illnesses.

Does he ever once stop to think about how things could have been different if he didn’t let his greed and ego get in the way. Does he ever think, “you know if I didn’t like Brady and Mahomes” I might actually win a title as opposed to be the laughing stock of the league”. Think he has any regrets about his demands to be the highest paid player in history? Or does he just chuckle to himself every time he looks at his bank account?
Smooth brain post. Where were all the titles when Dak was on a rookie contract? Where were all the super bowls from 1997 to 2015 before Dak arrived at the Cowboys?

And why would Dak leave money on the table for the worst GM in the lead to either sit on or waste on bad decision making. Contemplate this on the tree of woe.

On a team like the old Patriots, it made sense for Tom Brady to sacrifice pay to win Super Bowls. And the rewards for winning SEVEN Super Bowls exceed whatever the additional pay would have been.

Players on the Cowboys realize that they aren't making it to an NFC championship game, much less a Super Bowl, so I don't blame them for squeezing everything that they can out of the Crypt Keeper.

Brady and Mahomes got top pay contracts. Brady played cheaper on like his 4th contract. Mahomes got the largest contract ever given out when he signed

I'm sure he's made his peace with it in some kind of way.

Don't get me wrong ....... I want to replace Dak as soon as possible ....... But his contract is not what is stopping this team from being any good.
agreed....

but to the simpletons, because they know Jerry can't be replaced and in the wings is Stephen awaiting (just see how much progress Raiders have made after Al Davis), that there is no hope. they can't fathom that, so their only go to is Dak, mostly because of his large contract and they have to cling to that straw in the middle of a psunami because that's all they have to hold on to.

I am just sitting back and accepting the fact, that its been 30 years. it will be another few years and then another 20+ years of his son. this is the cowboys. they like the drama, they like to stir things up and they like it being a soap opera.

he probably thinks about all the "prove it" years and is like screw it. they could have signed him years earlier for less.

what people forget is that the first two Brady contracts were largest ones at the time. it was later in his career that he took slightly less. it wasn't as if he got nothing. I believe he got a 28, 39 and 30 with Tampa and that was top 3 money at the time. that team was good and was only a QB like Brady away from superbowl.

people ask about sacrificing, like Brady or players like him played for minimum wage.

and when I ask the pundits, what if we had an extra 10M on the cap. build a championship team with that extra 10...and there is silence, which tells me its just about whining and complaining.

Dak made the most of what he was able to. He was able to wrangle that insane co Tracy from Jerry. I don’t blame him for it.

It wouldn't matter.

There is no team you can build in modern football able to carry Dak.

There comes a point in every playoffs/season where the QB has to step up and make plays. Dak will fail.
I am not saying Dak shouldn't be replaced. we should

however, tell me if we take Dak out and put in Mahomes. is Dallas now a superbowl calibur team?

your focus is only on Dak and Dak failures. a loser mentality. as opposed to how to build a successful team. it also tells a lot about your lack of football understanding and why you are TMZ.

you will either run to daddy and go wah wah wah. or you will not respond, because you don't like the answer you have to give. you are so predictable.

You are absolutely right. Brady still did not play for the league minimum. And Jerry either wouldn't know what to do with the extra $10 million or spend it foolishly if he had it.

And you suggest that some posters on this site like to whine and complain? I never noticed. ;)

Are you joking?

Please don’t compare Dak to Brady, Mahomes or any other QB with half a brain. Dak fell into a perfect situation with our incompetent GM. He’s a backup QB who’s started for 11 years.

Stop.

Ya'll say this all the time, then Cooper Rush or Andy Dalton comes in after Dak quits and leads the team ya'll believe nobody can do anything with to a better record than Dak did up until he quit.

So, yes, Mahomes makes us an instant contender and I won't keep arguing this point with you Dak over Dallas zombies.

You're incredibly immature and not worth the time I give you, so I will not give you any more of it.

The contract doesn’t actually inhibit the team from doing anything. Having an 80+ year old egomaniac as Owner/GM does.

If you’re still confused, take a look at the actual cash spent by NFL teams. Then try to explain to me why the team that generates BY FAR the most revenue is middle of the pack when it comes to spending on players.

It’s not a matter of can’t sign players…it’s a matter of want to. Jerry and Stephen don’t want to.

How would any of us know what Dak thinks about?!?!? Of course, unlike over 99% of us, he gets to do it with the comfort of knowing he had secured generational wealth for his family and secured his name in Cowboys record books. From a career standpoint, it probably doesn't take much to rationalize. Can you say you have accomplished as much in your career. Hell, even players like Carson Wentz gets to make those claims (maybe not the eagles records)....all this to say, I'm sure they sleep well at night.

From a fan looking from the outside in, it sucks that he didn't consider what we thought was best for the team...I think this is where I insert the /s.
