Do you just make up stuff in your head and convince yourself that it actually happened? Dak didn't commit his first NFL turnover until week 6 of his rookie season at Green Bay.. Then in season 2 he threw exactly one pick six at the end of the game during the debacle in Denver and then threw one other in the week 15 game against Seattle. So two the entire season equates to 3 in 4 games on your planet. I'm sure springtime is nice there..

If Dak had actually thrown 3 pick sixes in his first 4 games, then it would have been an easier decision for Romo to get his starting job back. But Dak being able to cut down on the INTs during that year, is one of the reasons why the Cowboys went on a win streak with him in the first place.

Rush was beyond 4 years and was released, because he was expected to resign anyways and going back to Dallas, he didn’t need to clear waivers. He had right of refusal for anybody. He didn’t try to sign anywhere else.

You don’t go into the season without any QB backup.

Regardless of what you may want to happen and what you think should happen, There is no chance Rush keeps the job over Dak. It’s as if some of you don’t even follow the Cowboys. Hopefully if the Cowboys keep winning we will at least not rush Dak back and let him get healthy

When you have a job you like, why bother going anywhere else? Maybe he found a spot he’s comfortable in and wasn’t bothering to shop his services anywhere else. There is no team on earth that goes into a year without at least one backup QB.

And Linehan completely dumbed down the offense for him, which people forget. Also made it rely heavily on play action. By HALF the season, Linehan had Dak and the Cowboys ran more play action than the Cowboys did in Romo’s highest usage year from what I recall.

The offense was figured out and teams saw they could just sit on Cole Beasley’s routes and Dak did their 3 pick sixes in the first 4 games or so. Season 2 was awful display of quarterbacking and season 3 was as well, until Amari came and made the season somewhat respectable.
