Does Glenn's performance convince Michael

terry will be the #2 leading reciever yards wise after this week is over, hell have 518 yards and 3 tds, owens will have like 540 4tds

Hopefully Keyshawn won't get hung up on who the #1 receiver is.
Nah, those two are very tight...from all reports...and particularly the bonding over both being 'too old and slow" has seemed to really kick in.

Plus Key from the start came in promising to do the grunt work and open things up for Terry. He has never been anything but solicitous of T..and I gues we all remember that penalty he took last year when he rushed to defend the late hit

This is tho, the first close relationship I've ever heard of Key being in with a fellow receiver. Total opposite of his Chrebet experience. I'd guess it's mostly due to Terry just being so darn amiable and ego free (for a receiver). He even got along with AB. :laugh2:

Then again, Glenn has the same status as a Parcells vet, and I think even more so because the personal stuff between Tuna and Terry goes so deep. Key would be unwise to mess with Terry...'she's' protected.

Glenns drop on the 3rd TD - It looked like DB tipped it last second.

Dang that was another pass delivered on the mark...

Glenn has the best 2nd gear in the ENTIRE NFL, how he can just seperate to go and get the ball...wow, just wow

and I think today's game may have him #1, yardage-wise, among NFL WRs...

Amazing thing about the one 40 yd bomb he caught was that he had the seperation to slow up on the play to catch it. Awesome day Terry. How bout that one handed grab from Crayton.....

Had to point that out to my wife on the replay. She said she never saw anything like that before. After today, she is fully aware of who #83 is.

This trio of receivers has to rank among the best in the NFL. Thats without including Witten

I wonder if Irvin will take a cheap shot at Keyshawn for coughing up that pass and giving Philly a TD. Of course, Irvin never coughed up any balls. ;)

Has anyone ever stopped and thought about this; maybe Michael is trying to motivate the Dallas WR's? Even Michael knows that Terry Glenn and Keyshawn have been top receivers before. Maybe he is trying, in a fair and unbiased way, to make Glenn and Johnson prove him wrong?
That is my thinking too, however mybe he is trying to show that he is unbiased

Well he does a very good job of showing he is unbiased, maybe a little too good. LOL

Terry has to play a full season to prove he's a real #1. The knock on him isn't his ability, it's his ability to stay healthy.

Glenn is a stud. He always has been whenever he's been healthy.

Why are all of you referring to Glenn in masculine terms? Isn't he a "she"? ;)

A legit #1 is someone you can count on average for 16+ games a season. Glenn ain't shown us crap yet. Does he even have 16 games total in his 3 years here.. yea well not many more then that.

Saying this is like saying Bledsoe is the franchise quarterback we've been looking for since Aikman, solely based on his first 5 game stats as a Cowboy...in his 13th nfl season.

If Irvin says anything in rebuttal it will go a little like this.. Glenn is "acting" like a #1 for the start of the season.

Nothing more. And possibly alot less if nothing at all.

And how will this all play into thought when Glenn goes down (and we all know he will at some point this season) and Price comes in and does exactly the same thing with similar production...

I can't wait for that day. He'll do just as much with Bledsoe as Glenn is doing, minus the injury-proneness lurking ahead. Then we'll see at the beginning of next year if "#1" can live as #3.

Have patience Peerless, your time will come and the heartache Glenn consistantly brings everyyear when he goes down will return. Your day is coming....probably sooner rather than later too.

Nah, it's just to get under LTN's skin... :p:

I just didn't realize Irvin's comments had such a profound effect on people. His comments were based on what Key and Glenn had done over the last few years. Neither has produced stats or played in games like #1 receivers. Irvin also said that both are very good and Dallas can win with them as two #2 receivers. So, he wasn't really bashing them as much as being a little realistic. They do have their limitations. So far, the tandem plus Crayton have made the passing game a threat.
