OK, I got point 1, it was point 2 that I wasn't seeing.. OK, refer to Michael Winicki's post concerning point 1..Tass said:1) You equated Ellis at LB to Newman at CB. No. Newman is a more experienced and better playing CB than Ellis is a LB.
2) The intended point I was making is that even if a player is really good (which Ellis is not. He's a bit above average as a DE) if he is playing out of position he is probably the same as the average guys at that position.
as far as point 2, I'm sorry my friend, but Junior Glymph is a converted DE as well.. furthermore, if Greg Ellis ends up starting, that mean that he will have beaten out Bobby Carpenter, Al Singleton, Kevin Burnett, and Rocky Boiman for a starting LB spot.. I believe that means he is more than "average"
