Does Jaylon Smith practice this week?

Don't click the thread. Again, easy peasy.

Your take is just that... your take. I found all of this speculation interesting, and thus, valuable (for myself and many others, yet there's always a straggler or two that come in these Jaylon threads with a take similar to yours -- a very small minority -- albeit somewhat vocal). You don't get to tell me what is valuable or not. Respectfully, brudda.

And yes, it's much, much different than that Zeke fiasco, but let's not go there, mmkay...

Broaddus mentioned on The Break that Jaylon, McFadden and TE whose name escapes me for some reason have until the 22nd of this month before they need to be added to practice roster. It'll give indication if team thinks they can help this year

If his nerve was healing up, we'd have heard about it. We haven't, so it hasn't, so he's not playing this year. Elementary deduction.

Romo was medically cleared last week. We found out this week. Your premise for deduction is false.

Further, Smith has been saying that he has been regaining sensation progressively since he got here.

Fact is that the team is extremely cagey about injuries and is reluctant to give any information that is not required. Listening to Garrett and Jaylon PC make that obvious.

They are only required to say when he returns to practice. Nothing more and nothing less.

May never play, actually. We just don't know.

No, and the main reason we just don't know is because no one has given us any indication is there is any progress on the feeling returning to his leg. Yes, I understand that nerve regeneration is a slow process, but they should be able to let us know if progress is being made. But the whole "we haven't ruled Jaylon out from playing this year" is classic Jerry and Stephen-speak. Dangling that out there creates more interest -- why would they dispel that by letting everyone know he has no chance of playing this year? This is what they do best, peddle hope.

If the nerve is not regenerating, Jaylon should have had a second surgery by now according to many medical articles

Maybe so (I haven't seen those articles either). Nevertheless, it would be a heck of a lot easier knowing if progress is being made if the team would just, you know, tell us.

no disagreement here, but there are many reasons to keep it quiet.
like no affecting the brand if he does not recover (misleading fans), get much more press if he makes it in time if the announcement is jaylon is back on the team instead of jaylon is making some progress

From all of the research I had done, my conclusion was give him until the end of December before looking at surgery options. There is a large window for this nerve to fire and it begins to close next month.
