From all of the research I had done, my conclusion was give him until the end of December before looking at surgery options. There is a large window for this nerve to fire and it begins to close next month.

my recollection is surgical option if he does not show signs of recovery in 7-9 months after surgery on Jan 8th.
signs of recovery obviously does not mean full recovery and could be an incomplete recovery.

Due to family members doing nerve regeneration research, I have been following nerve regeneration for more than 20 years, on and off of course.
It is hard to believe that the nerve axons do not regenerate toward and reach the target muscles over the last 10 months.
The question is how well they make the 'connection' due to many issues including timing and someone mentioned myelination.

Yes but we do not know how this recovery is going. He may be on the way or the nerve isn't doing anything. All we can do is guess based on vague references.

I am just saying that when January rolls around and Smith is still wearing a brace, my guess would be a future surgery. Of course, I have no idea if he is wearing one or not ATM :D

there is no 100% certainty.
the good surgeon said 9-15 months for 'full' recovery but did not promise what full means.
if the nerve axons did not grow the necessary 6 inches in 10 months, something is probably very wrong and they probably would have operated.
there has been numerous articles mentions Jaylon saying the sensations are getting further down his leg as time goes on, for what that is worth.
fwiw, the happy tweeting Jaylon does not sound like someone worried about the lack of progress and spending the rest of his life in an ATO
since he got his 2nd round contract, he already owns the ATM.

you can google it yourself

I've looked on Twitter nearly every day for the last two months for any evidence that Smith is making progress. Zero, zip, zilch. You misinterpreted what you read, sorry to break it to you.

The fact that you're using Google instead of Twitter to find out the latest news just shows how clueless you really are.

given your tone, i am not going to take the bait and do your research for you.
the signs of his progress are many months old.
you can do the googling or just sit around making baseless attacks.

And you can sit around and spout total fiction. Be my guest. But I'll continue to call you on it since you're wrong. My "attacks" aren't baseless. They're very much based on the fact that you don't know what you're talking about and throw stuff out there that just hasn't happened.

No it hasn't. Nice try.

You wouldn’t sense the uncertainty by watching Smith go through drills late last week, though – smiling, joking, asking for video playback between reps swatting past a tackling dummy, making sure he’s getting his hips through and not forming bad habits. He says he’s a mixture of Von Miller and Patrick Willis, says he’s feeling new sensations through his leg and foot every day, says he believes he could play in the NFL even if the nerve doesn’t get back to 100%.
