Ravens got best value on him because for the most part, they do their homework when it comes to player acquisitions. No way the best linebacker in college should slide to #28.
Chaisson sample size at LSU wasn't worth the pick at 17 either. Patrick Queen was the motor for that LSU team last year and it showed on the field all of last year. It doesn't surprise me at all that rookie linebacker is leading the team in tackles for Baltimore.
Lamb should be a good player and would probably get a 2nd contract in Dallas, he needs to be aware of the sticks when running routes. Just my opinion but a combo of Queen, Diggs, Gallmore in rounds 1-3 would have been 3 key defensive players at every level that could've been building blocks to making this defense respectful again.
Yeah man based on what I've read Patrick Queen has been bad this year. To put things in perspective Jaylon has a PFF grade of a 51.0.....LVE has a grade of a 60.8.....
Patrick Queen has a freakin' 27.7 and I'm not even sure how. I didn't even know that was possible to grade out that low. And maybe you are someone who thinks PFF grades aren't a great way to gauge a player. A fair point. So then you read what Ravens fans say online about him.....
"Saw him multiple times come forward to stop the run but hit the backs of the DL while the wide open hole is a spot to the side. Those are the gaps he needs to fill."
"He got picked on hard vs the chiefs and our defense has been hemorrhaging. Honestly, if it's not for the heroics of Marvin and Marcus getting turnovers every game we would be in trouble."
"The only thing I’ve notice him struggle is in coverage. He looked so lost during the chiefs game that they had to take him out for a series or two. That probably explains the low grade."
"Yup. Hasn't look good. I thought yesterday was an improvement."
"If you were watching any part of last week’s game you would understand why, dude hasn’t developed his coverage skills yet and he’s gettin killed for it"
"His performance sunday night was pathetic and honestly really concerning .. idk what happened, I've been a fan of his.."
"I think KC and New England were intentionally calling plays that attacked his decision making. they knew there was a rookie who was in a position that was going to take a ton of snaps and they just schemed up against him"
"Our team is built to keep our LBs relatively clean with 2 gap D linemen. And if we lose that Queen is super vulnerable since he's so small."
"He's been an awful tackler. He missed 5 tackles one game, and is 2nd in the NFL in missed tackles."
"He was impossible to watch Sunday night. It's rare to see a linebacker look that bad in real time, but man did he look hopeless."
"He's been a huge liability in coverage all season. Tackling has also been awful, and run fits generally poor."
All that glitters isn't gold man......he sounds like he wouldn't even get playing time here none of our linebackers have been this bad.
