Does Mike get another contract with all the injuries?

Curious of the board’s thoughts on this. With all the injuries on defense, and now with Dak does he get a reprieve? Throw in the fact they didn’t fill the losses in FA.

Think like Jerry. Not like a normal person. What does he do?

No!
I'm sure he knows it over as a Cowboy HC but 31 other teams are watching him. If he can avoid players quitting and finish strong, who knows what could happen. An owner could take note of how well Kellen and Quinn are doing away from Jerry's nest. If you are one of those teams who haven't seen a lot of playoff success, MM is pretty attractive.

The front office did absolutely nothing to improve this team in the offseason. I'm not a huge fan of McCarthy but blaming him is comical at this point so I expect Jerry to do exactly that. He's still selling the finest snake oil in the business!

Think like Jerry....hmmm...I'll try...

If I get rid of this puppet too soon, people will know I made a poor puppet-purchasing promise (a 4P!).

I paid for this puppet, and I'm going to get my money's worth for this puppet. But if I could get rid of the puppet, without people knowing and not have to pay the puppet, the puppet would've been left on the tarmac in Atlanta without a ride home. Then, I'd pick me a new puppet who makes me comfortable.

Burt for now, since its visible, I'll ride out the promise with this puppet.

Plus, I'm not a fan of puppet shopping.

Doubt it, he isn't a "great discovery" who's had to "learn on the job" like JG or KM.

Jerry seems to be committed to making this year McCarthy's final opportunity to find success with this outfit. He's not making it easy for MM to have the sort of luck that he's going to need for things to go his way. I'll be amazed if MM manages to escape the results that he's likely to get. Not good.

He won't. Jerry will hold a press conference telling the masses how much he appreciated MM and how he is a good coach. Then wait a day or two to say he is leaving no stone unturned in pursuit of his next head coach. Then we wait till the hype train gets to rolling just the way Jerry likes it with all sorts of wild and sometimes outlandish names being rumored to be in Jerry's crosshairs. Then the day will come when he will once again hold a press conference with the new coach with Stephen sitting up with Dad proud as a peach on their newest hire. And we get.....????

I could see it if McCarthy had a year left on his contract. Jerry would potentially give him another year but I don’t see Jerry giving McCarthy another three-year deal.

Would you re-sign if you were Mike? No authority over player acquisition. No authority over coaching hires. No authority period. Strapped to Dak for the next 3 years, now with another injury to come back from, another year older?

Mike was fired last year against GB. It’s just the longest firing ever.
