Does Mike get another contract with all the injuries?

Spot on. As I stated, “think like Jerry”. How can anyone forget year after year of the JG era, and we all hoped and prayed that Jerry would end it and finally 10 years later he didn’t even fire him. Remember him still having an office in January? It’s almost like he received a memo from Jerry or something.

By going with your criteria we can scratch Belichek off the list. And while I think some of the new young hot coaches like Ben Johnson etc would be awesome, when I think about them with this franchise I can’t see it working. Jerry would eat these young guys alive IMO. Don’t be surprised if it’s status quo and we bring in maybe a new DC again and a new Oline coach with Solari getting the grace of “retirement”…..
I can understand those sentiments but This is why it's different first of all Jerry has absolutely publicly said the last two years he's been unhappy with Mike McCarthy at times play calling decision making he's actually called him out I mean just a couple weeks ago he called him out saying the schemes and the play calling weren't being carried out very well I forget how he said it but it was definitely a knock on Mike McCarthy..

You add in the fact that he knows he's getting older the writing's on the wall and the fan base is angry the media is all over his *** this is different than the Jason Garrett era Jason Garrett was like his son his prodigal son he literally was hoping he could turn him into a Bill Belichick a homegrown hero it didn't happen and by the way it wasn't the worst coaching staff here they were far worse early on after Jimmy laughed there were some bad coaching Staffs so let's stop with the Jason Garrett error was so bad it was not great and neither is this although this is better I just don't see Jerry hanging on unless there's a miracle come back but I don't think he's getting a pat on the back pass just because of the injuries and what not I just don't see it there's too much at stake Jerry knows it he's aware and now has more perception of the fan base in the media right now and he knows that this is the perfect scapegoat fire the entire coaching staff it's a win win for him and for us..

He looks like he's making a great decision and we will approve he needs some approval right now...

He has a ring, could be on one of the NFL shows if he wants.
That's the thing, I doubt he "wants" to do that.
My comment was not a dig at Big Mike. It's simply what I'm guessing he'll do. I would.

The injuries aren't even the greatest issue, it's the relentless interference in football operations by Jerry.

Jerry interferes in gameplanning, player personnel decisions, playcalling, disciplinary actions and media communications. McCarthy's role is seen by Jerry Jones as a mere employee filling a position, always subject to his final say.

Keep him, fire him. In the end, it makes no difference.
I can’t stand Jerry but he actually has much less to do with day to day operations than anyone gives him credit for. He may be in a weekly staff meeting but he’s not making gameplan or playcalling decisions. He doesn’t do the day to day GM duties. Do you think it was his call to trade for Mingo? I doubt he’d ever heard of him before McClay or Stephen brought the idea up.

Criticizing them on a radio show is much different than demanding things in meetings. Him and MM have been blaming each other in the media this year to get the heat off themselves.

I side with MM. he was never given a chance with his personnel this year.

Credit is opposite of the word that comes to my mind.

The trade smacks of Jerry. He has always been a sucker for the WR position. Joey Galloway, Roy Williams, Amari Cooper? That's four #1 and two #2' draft picks right there.

We are down four DE's, two TE's, three CB's, but its the WR position they trade some of their future away for? Classic Jerry Jones.

I think MM will return next year. JJ has painted himself into a corner with his lack of flexibility in affording coaches the autonomy to run the team as they see fit. The reluctance for coaches to want to come to Dallas is certainly understandable. That won't change until JJ loosens the reigns and allows his coaches to actually run the team.

It was a move for next season. This season is done.
