Does Mike get another contract with all the injuries?

Booger's for/against needle hasn't moved much either way. The clueless Cowboy clown still sees a chance of playoff success. When reality hits him, he'll vent, blame everybody but the GM, and talk about his genius plan moving forward.

Big Mac has the highest regular season winning percentage in Cowboy history. If I had to guess and he does leave, I'd look at New Orleans as his next destination.

(Yeah, I said that so Booger won't let him go. Think of the smoke coming out of the Star with Quinn, McCarthy, and Moore all having winning teams while Booger and Jr are planning their new circus ride, or training the new circus cow)

I like Mike and think he's done a good job overall here, but no way does he come back barring some miraculous finish. He was always set up to be the scapegoat for this do-nothing year.

Every coach wants to be a head coach, but I bet at this point Mike wouldn't mind going back to being an OC for a normal football organization.

Agree. I think he has done a 'fairly good' job here. He is gone at this point though unless they get into the playoffs an win a game. If that happens he may have a shot at getting a contract.

Curious of the board’s thoughts on this. With all the injuries on defense, and now with Dak does he get a reprieve? Throw in the fact they didn’t fill the losses in FA.

Think like Jerry. Not like a normal person. What does he do?
No. The division rival we are about to play has had TE, WR, and LT miss at least three-four games and they are 6-2, even with an idiot head coach.

Exactly he's not thinking like a normal person he gave this guy a shot he should have never got as soon as Dan Quinn left and you couldn't bring back everyone Mike McCarthy should have been fired the next day we had options Bill Belichick and Vrabel both wanted to be here he went against the norm right there, and he needs a scapegoat in this offseason because it's gonna be a bad year it's gonna be a really long offseason his scapegoat will be firing Mike McCarthy is gonna be sacrificed to the fans...

Nope. MM will be gone.
Fwiw, I like McCarthy, and think he's a good coach, but its best for all concerned if he's coaching somewhere else next season.

I keep hearing the Cowboys workshop talkers at 105.3 FM , Jerry’s radio station that any discussion of Dak should have his salary excluded from opinions ? Really . I thought the NFL was a cap league you have to factor in what he makes on the effects of roster mobility .
I’ve seen enough of Prescott & MM .

The Atlanta game was a classic example of a winnable game going down the toilet

Not an easy question to answer without knowing who is interested in replacing him.

No sane person has any idea what Jerry is thinking.

100% not.

Jerry is going to create change to keep fans interested

It was surprising McCarthy was retained after the play-off debacle. I honestly thought he was a goner after that. JJ is senile, and it's now impossible to know what he'll do next.

Nothing was going to save McCarthy's job this year short of a Super Bowl appearance.

The only reason he wasn't fired outright was that firstly, Jerry didn't want the embarrassment of firing a man after three 12-5 seasons, and secondly Jerry deluded himself into believing that if he pushed McCarthy there was a chance he could do it with this roster.

An NFCCG or going beyond round one would have saved his job . None of that is going to happen .

He has been an epic failure. No post season success (you know - the reason he was hired), among league leaders in penalties, underdevelopment of draft picks, mismanagement of draft picks, terrible clock management..........

It's possible and cannot be ruled out. A 9-8 record might be enough. You just don't know with Jerry.

A losing record and I would say 99% chance of being fired.

No, but it doesn’t matter either way.
