Also is top 5 all time in passer rating and #1 in 4th quarter QB rating. Credit to CowgirlCas, from article below:

Surpassing the likes of Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Kurt Warner etc. Tony Romo now holds the records for most completions in 100 starts (2,276) and yards, (27,747).

Those league records aren't going to score him many if any points with the HOF committee.

Hmmm, those league records certainly swayed the voters on Kelly, Marino, Fouts, Jurgenson and many others. The public perception of Romo is starting to change, a few good seasons here will only add to that.

Yards. passer ratings and completion percentages are all up compared to QB's from 20 plus years ago due to rule changes that have opened up offenses.
This is also true, but again it's misleading because it doesn't account for Romo's high rankings in these categories among his peers of this era. That's why you look at rankings instead of raw numbers. It filters out cross-era noise. Here is the average rank in the players' 7 best seasons in the categories you mentioned (adjusted for league size).

YPA
Staubach 4th
Romo 4th
Aikman 6th
White 10th

Comp%
Aikman 4th
Romo 6th
Staubach 7th
White 8th

Passer Rating
Staubach 3rd
Aikman 6th
Romo 6th
White 12th

There's nothing about playing in the current era that makes it easier for a QB to rank in the Top 6 than it was in any other era.

Not the league records Romo owns you have to dig real deep for the league records he owns. Kelly's 4 straight SB appearances swayed the voters you obviously didn't bother to do any research on this did you? What swayed the voters on Marino was the many all-time passing records he held at the time he retired and these weren't some obscure records. The records Marino held made him a first ballot lock. The same thing with Fouts he passed for 4700 yards in 1980 and 4800 in 81 which was unheard of during that era. He was one of the most prolific passers of his era and held the single season yardage record before Marino arrived. As for Jurgenson he was considered one of the greatest pure passers of his era. For the "publics" perception to change for Romo he's going to have to win a SB.

Wow! And I mean Wow!

How many times are you gonna say it KJJ? If someone else has an opinion on the subject then let them have it. Or do you have to enforce your will on everyone who disagrees with you? I think your stance has been made clear. Many times over.

Where am I not letting someone have their opinion? They're giving their opinion and I'm giving mine what's wrong with that? This is a discussion board and this is what we do here. It's posters like you who won't let me have my opinion because it's my opinions that stir everyone up. If someone responds to my comments I'm responding back. I'll make my stance as often as I want and if you don't like it then put me on ignore.

I don't want to put you on ignore and I'm not trying to start a fight. You just seem fixated on arguing your point with anyone who feels Romo belongs in the ROH. There have been many valid points that support his going in but for some reason you just won't have it. I mean how long can you beat a dead horse. Your feeling on the subject has been noted.

You've been trying to stir things up with me the past couple of days and I told you to move on twice and you keep coming back so yes you are trying to start a fight. I don't appreciate being called out for the same thing we're all doing in this thread having a debate. You keep telling me how many times I'm going to keep repeating myself when it's been you who's been repeating the same thing over and over that I'm not allowing people to have their opinions. You're being ridiculous! I'm going to argue my point as long as posters want to argue it and you're repeated crying isn't going to stop me. There's posters here including yourself who have a bigger issue with my views than I have with yours or anyone else's. Don't come around just to call me out when you have no dog in these debates.

I have no issues with the points that have been made about Romo being inducted into the ROH my issues are with those who think he's done enough to be inducted into the HOF. As for how long can we beat a dead horse ask the guy who started this thread he's been here long enough to have seen at least 15 of these threads. Stop singling me out and ask the many posters who keep contributing to this thread how long they can beat this dead horse. This horse has been beaten so much over the years it's as flat as throw rug it looks like a beat up Mr Ed fathead. I don't start these threads I contribute and will continue to make my feelings noted whether you or anyone else likes it or not.

Yeah.. Figured as much. I know the type. Fight for the sake of the fight. Constructive criticism isn't in your vocabulary. Go on and keep repeating yourself and be sure to lash out against anyone who has a different opinion other than your own. I mean, why should they be allowed to voice their opinion on the matter when they have you to give it to them. Pat yourself on the back as you look in the mirror and smile knowing you put everyone in their place. If you weren't so crass, your retorts would be easier to digest. Anyway, have at it. I'll await your lengthy all-knowing rebuttal.

I don't lash out against those who's opinions differ from mine it's me who gets lashed out at and your posts as well as several others in this thread validate it. If you want to continue wasting your time turning every discussion I'm involved in into a personal attack that's exactly what you'll be doing WASTING YOUR TIME because you have been removed my discussion list.

Blah.. This was the only post I've ever debated you on. The others I just read what you had to say and moved on. I even said to you it's ok to agree to disagree but you progressively got more hostile.

I never block anyone. I can take a punch when I'm wrong. Then thank the person for showing me the error of my ways if that's the case. But do as you please.

if Tony Qbs this team to a super bowl victory he is a lead pipe cinch for the ROH. anything short leaves him 'up in the air'.
