Does Stephen Jones even want a Super Bowl Ring?

You never hear him do the crazy talk of winning championships, it's just the crazy talk of bringing in players, and how they operate when it comes to spending. Never do you hear him say, it's been a long time, and I'm willing to do whatever to bring us a ring!

He wants a ring. He just has no fear of losing his job, so there's no urgency. Coming up short on the field is easier to take when life is good.

It is not one of his priorities, no.

JJones wants a trophy. One thing. I agree is JJones has a big ego. Maybe some have forgotten JJones was throwing money on FA was he stared getting hosed for millions. He stopped
His actions say the exact opposite. He's publicly admitted that he sucks at GM, but insists on retaining the title, even though he knows he sucks at it. Looking at the facts, no, getting a trophy is not his goal.

Stephen has a degree in Chemical Engineering, I only know that cause I have the same degree from the same school.

As an engineer, I can tell you, I'm cheap. So is Stephen.

"do the crazy talk of winning championships,"

Every masterpiece (Jerry) has its cheap knockoff (Stephen).

At least Jerry is a true original, a hyper successful entrepreneur, and one of the great personalities in the sport. Stephen is just some dude who just happened to be born a Jones and now runs an NFL personnel department.

I've said for several years, that Chuckles acts as if every dollar spent is directly coming out of his inheritance.

Hard to believe but things might get worse with Stephen… I feel he’s the reason good old Jerry is getting cheap.

He wants to protect his generational wealth, like most billionaires.

Jones's care about the bottom-line. Who needs a championship ring, when you're still the most expensive sports franchise in the nation?

He'll say he does, even many of the fans on this board will say he does, but the teams actions for many years now, to me at least say he could give a rats *** about it. Besides when your that filthy rich why would you care?

Stephen reminds me of Cheapskate Hal Steinbrenner the current buffoon owner of the New York Yankees. His dad George would have done anything to win a World Series much like Jerry would to win a Super Bowl. Hal however just isn't invested in going all in like his father (Watch them lose Judge this off-season). I believe Stephen is much the same as Hal, do enough to keep the cash rolling in but why bother expending yourself and spending more money to win championship.

Yes I think they want a ring but trades are not 1 way streets, I sure has hell do not want to give up a king ransom for a player just to say we made a trade. If reports are true on Cooks I think Cowboys did the right thing by not doing the deal. As for trades and FA Dallas got they have been a help to this team. I don't buy into this non sense of do what I want or else you don't want a SB

I thought he already has 3 Rings.

And yea, it’s been a VERY LONG TIME.

It’s unlikely he’ll get another one .

If Jethro and Son were willing to do whatever it takes theyd hire someone else .

I don’t think that not stating the obvious is a good argument for not wanting something. I’d guess he wants a championship as much or more as anyone else that’s a Dallas fan.

I think his idea of winning is different then yours. You want the team to win on the field, he wants the business he owns to be successful financially.

Compare The Cowboys to McDonald's, the CEO of McDonald's could care less if the hamburger they offer is the nastiest one in the fast food market because customers are still going to buy it because of the marketing name. Same for the Cowboys, we fans are still going to buy the product even though the team has not won anything for decades just because of the name. Why should Stephen change anything when he is winning. He has a very successful business.

We just happen to follow a business owner that likes to have a hands on approach with his product he is selling. Other business owners (team owners) have very little input with the day to day operations of their business as they have trusted employees to do that. No matter which way it's done the bottom line is it's a product name and as the owner it's your job to put the product in the market place to create income.
