Does Stephen Jones even want a Super Bowl Ring?

I don’t think that not stating the obvious is a good argument for not wanting something. I’d guess he wants a championship as much or more as anyone else that’s a Dallas fan.
No, he does not. He knows what it takes and refuses to do it. Hence, his"want" for a championship is far from as much as anyone else.

I think his idea of winning is different then yours. You want the team to win on the field, he wants the business he owns to be successful financially.

Compare The Cowboys to McDonald's, the CEO of McDonald's could care less if the hamburger they offer is the nastiest one in the fast food market because customers are still going to buy it because of the marketing name. Same for the Cowboys, we fans are still going to buy the product even though the team has not won anything for decades just because of the name. Why should Stephen change anything when he is winning. He has a very successful business.

We just happen to follow a business owner that likes to have a hands on approach with his product he is selling. Other business owners (team owners) have very little input with the day to day operations of their business as they have trusted employees to do that. No matter which way it's done the bottom line is it's a product name and as the owner it's your job to put the product in the market place to create income.
If Jerry owned McDonalds, he'd be putting dog hair on every burger and insisting it was the right thing to do.

Its his fault for wanting to play GM Wannabe. If he can't handle his failures as a GM, then why does he compensate like he knows what the hell his doing?
I disagree with your interpretation of JJ . Its your view through your eyes and JJ eyes is of course through his. Though the majority agree with you the eternal optimist is turning it around every season.

That's fine. But the results matter. When was the last time we sniffed the Superbowl in the 3 decades or so? We have changed coaches constantly but the one thing that remains the same is that JJ as GM. Im sure people have been reminding him about this, internally and externally. Why do you think that Jimmy Johnson hasn't been placed onto the Ring of Honor?

Like many arguments these days we see it differently and that’s fine

You never hear him do the crazy talk of winning championships, it's just the crazy talk of bringing in players, and how they operate when it comes to spending. Never do you hear him say, it's been a long time, and I'm willing to do whatever to bring us a ring!

Please give your thoughts
Nothing would make him happier, then a championship . It’s pure fake ignorant talk that the Joneses don’t want a championship.

Yeah sorry we want to win, move could have helped
Yeah and how exactly making a trade, would help us. Who are you going to sit down for this new person. How much you’re going to pay this new person. How much better is this person than somebody we already have In the lineup.

the money they make and the talking is the cake, and a SB would just be icing on that cake.
They are ok with a cake with no icing.

He just wants daddy’s money. Once it is his he will sell.

Of course they want to win a championship. I think people that question this are really questioning their actions. Like when a teacher asks a student, do you want to pass this class? Of course he does, that's not really what she was asking him.

They want to win a championship with the least risk possible. They don't want to make moves that get them three 5-11 seasons in a row. But many fans want to see more risk. The see what the Rams did. What the Eagles and Dolphins did. But fail to remember the teams that fell flat on their face trying it.

Here's my opinion on this, and why I'm glad they didn't make a move. Even with Cooper we had offensive problems at times. Was Cooks going to change that? If you think we're a better team this year, what is making us better? The defense. Boost what's making us better, and stop trying to replace the missing pieces that aren't.

If I were to make any further moves at the deadline, it would have been on the defensive side of the ball. But only if it clearly was an upgrade. I'm not sure that was possible after we got the DT.
