Does this disgraceful performance ensure Wade is gone?

It will be interesting to see what Jerry does. He made himself look bad by standing by a pathetic coach and coaching staff, now that he's been embarrassed, what will he do?

Jerry will sleep on it, maybe, and will wake up and change his mind. Frankly, it will take alot for JJ not to can Wade before they get back to Dallas.

What a Pathetic display :banghead:

Jeeze u know.. getting Cowler in Dallas would be great, but I'm not sure the large number of mental errors Romo makes is fixable.

Jerry needs to fire Wade and get a new head coach and let that head coach choose his own people. If he wants to keep Garrett (Why, I don't know but whatever) then so be it.

All I know is we need someone who can :
a) motivate
b) disciple players w/o Jerry interfering
c) teach the basic fundamentals (no more Camp Cupcakes)
d) reign in Romo. Maybe even go to a run team first since we have 3 good rbs

How can it not be?

If Phillips and Co. are around after this, it will certainly prove that Jerry just wants his puppet around and will never ever concede his authority again as he did to Parcells.

Which was the best decision he ever made.

Nope.

I hate to say it but I wouldn't be suprised if Wade Phillips is back next year.

I wouldn't be suprised if it has more to do with still wanting to promote Jaosn Garrett to Head Coach, but understanding that he is not ready.

Sadly, I think this might happen. What coach wants to come here with JG as OC and probably Jerry's choice for HC when Jerry thinks he's ready.

This much talent, no results. I'd say he has to be done. I hope he is done.

Talent....I beg to differ....

People are overlooking this fact.

I really believe Jason Garrett was promised the Head Coaching job.

I believe Jerry Jones gets rid of guys like Brian Stewart and Bruce Read to appease the masses, but he brings Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett back next season.

The only coach I would even consider keeping is Skip Peete. He has done some nice work with the RB's.

Up until today I would have said no. After today, I honestly don't see how JJ can bring any of these coaches back. Whatever credibility they may have had is gone.

Yeah, I sadly agree. There is not a single coach that can be said to have done anything more than a decent job this year, and many have flat out failed.

- an OL coach that can teach blitz pickups.

- a D coach that can teach gap responsibilities and discipline.

- a QB coach that can break Romo down and teach him once again how to play QB in this league.

- at this point ANY special team coach. Anyone but Read.

- last but not least, a new coach. Not a retread, not a college coach. Get a young, kickass defensive or offensive coordinator that can demand the respect from the team. Someone who makes it clear that Jones or no Jones, if you cross the coach, if you don't play intelligently and with desire, someone will take your place.

And so it not just on them, several players need to be sent packing.

Pacman
Tank Johnson
Brad Johnson
Ken Hamlin

He probably will NOT take a demotion.

If I were Wade I'd want off this loser of a team.

Btu what does this bode for a new Head Coach?
More of GM Jones picking his staff and hampering him.

If coaching changes are going to take place, then Jerry has to allow whoever he brings in to buy all the groceries and do his job.

I'm waiting for Wade to say the best team didn't win today. Wade will regroup for next season. And by regroup I mean he'll talk to Jerry to ensure Ginger and Bruce Read stay on for next season as well.

I still think there is talent all over this team.

I think we were told we had a Ferrari for this race when what we really have is a Porsche, and even a Porsche is no good in a race if it's driven by a blind driver with one foot permanently on the break.

Yes, Wade is gone.

But in some ways, he's just a scapegoat.

I think Garrett's gone too.

But let's face it; Romo played poorly. Colombo played poorly. The line in general did not play well. Barber hasn't been the same since his injury. Roy Williams has played poorly since his injury.

The defense...holy hell what a mess that unit is. Just the wrong collection of guys, really. Even the great players on that unit (Ware, Newman) disappear for long stretches. Well, in Newman's case, he appears...too much...getting beaten.

I would just go down the list of players and based on what they contribute, say "keep" or "dump." It shouldn't be too hard, other than with the defensive line, where you try to determine if you want to keep someone as just a "rotational" guy.

So with that said:

Tony Romo-Keep
Brad Johnson-Dump
Brooks Bollinger-Keep

Marion Barber-Keep
Felix Jones-Keep
Tashard Choice-Keep
Deon Anderson-Keep

Terrell Owens-Keep
Roy Williams-Keep (and get his foot healthy)
Patrick Crayton-Keep (at a reasonable price)
Miles Austin-Keep
Isaiah Stanback-Job on line in preseason
Sam Hurd-See Stanback

Jason Witten-Keep
Martellus Bennett-Keep
Tony Curtis-Competition in preseason

Marc Colombo-Keep (man has he declined, though)
Flozell Adams-Keep, but get ready to replace soon
Leonard Davis-Keep
Andre Gurode-Keep, consider moving to left guard
Montrae Holland-Keep
Kyle Kosier-Keep
Pat McQuistan-Competition in preseason...looked better than Proctor to me
Cory Proctor-Dump
Joe Berger-Dump
Doug Free-Preseason eval.

Chris Canty-Dump/don't re-sign unless at a VERY reasonable price
Marcus Spears-Dump
Jason Hatcher-Rotational, maybe
Stephen Bowen-See Hatcher
Jay Ratliff-Keep
Tank Johnson-Dump

Zach Thomas-Dump
Bradie James-Keep
DeMarcus Ware-Keep
Anthony Spencer-Keep
Greg Ellis-I'm either way on this one...I'd probably keep him
Bobby Carpenter-Dump
Kevin Brunett-Re-sign at reasonable price

Terrence Newman-Keep
Ken Hamlin-Dump, or at least demote. Simply not good enough to start.
Pacman Jones-Dump
Anthony Henry-Either move to FS or dump
Mike Jenkins-Keep
Orlando Scandrick-Keep
Roy Williams-Dump
Keith Davis-Keep, as special teams guy and backup
Tra Battle-Preseason eval.
Courtney Brown-Dump

Nick Folk-Keep
Matt McBriar-Keep, assuming recovered
Sam Paulescu-Cut

Yes but that all goes back to the headcoach and how they prepared them.

The players are part of the problem but when you have a clown atmosphere you get clown like results
