Does this stretch or good games make you consider Rico Dowdle a viable option to start 2025?

Yes. Absolutely, yes. One can see Rico making huge improvements every week the past few games.

Not if you have to franchise him . Negotiate a 2 yr deal all are happy with. And draft a back so Dowdle & rookie form a 2 headed attack and Elliott is not your back up anymore or Dalvin Cook or any other washed back . Actually compete .

They need to incorporate Leupke somehow into this offense

Sometimes I wonder if luepke could have a random weird 10td/1,000/Peyton hillis season in him

Wish they would of given Rico a 2 year deal with little guaranteed the 2nd year.

It probably does for Jerry, but he's not paying attention to what Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry have done for the offenses in Philly and Baltimore. If you have a dynamic RB, that makes your whole offense better.
the pieces in front of both of those guys are much stronger than any RB would have in Dallas, and plays a major role in both RB's having the success they are having

If someone was considering putting the franchise tag on Dowdle we need to shut this place down right now. It's been a hell of a run.

He’s rushed for 243 yards the past 2 games. That’s better than average. Good chance he’ll end up having a 1000 yard season. The more carries he’s gotten the better he’s gotten. However, we need a game changer as our lead back who has big play potential and can give us more as a receiver.
Who the hell arrives at any conclusion about a player off 2 hand-picked games.

I think Rico's talent level is ultimately that of an RB2. Also, his past injury history gives me concerns about overall season durability.

Nice role player and change of pace or spot action guy. But I'd prefer a more talented guy be the bell cow RB1 of the Dallas Cowboys tbh.

If Dowdle continues to produce as he has lately, he'll command more than he's making currently. How much might determine if he'll be resigned by our FO in 2025, or not. I hope other teams refrain from offering him enough to make him depart for greener pastures. He should make a good #2 RB, assuming we take a promising #1 RB in the upcoming draft. Hopefully, Rico's injury woes of the past won't return anytime soon.

He is a solid RB2, but there will be better options in the draft.

He played well the last few weeks, but let's not forget it was against the Giants and Bengals defenses.

They tagged Anthony Spencer. Twice.

Anything is possible with the Jones.

And yes, they are bigger morons than anyone has ever accused them of if they Franchise Tag Rico Dowdle.

Dowdle and a rookie pick will make a nice one two punch
