Does Tony Romo need somebody to get in his face?

If the messages are being sent then Jerruh is intercepting them. It's very clear he (Jerry "The GM" Jones) wants to get the most out of his boy; he has carte blanche to do what he wants with the offense and I am assuming that means changing plays at his discretion at the LOS.

Jerry Jones wants TR to be his Peytlon Manning; he has stated it throughout the past year. Problem is: Tony Romo is no Peyton Manning and he never will be in this lifetime. If anyone is trying to reel Tony in, then Jerry is constantly cutting the line.

Edit: I am also tired of hearing Witten defend his pal through the media.

There aren't many Napoleon Bonapartes walking around today. If someone got in my face, he would quickly be finding a seat somewhere.

I'm already an adult...and I bet that Tony Romo is as well. He's carried injury and played. I don't think that commitment is any kind of problem with that man.

Been saying it for years......best guy hands down, would be John Gruden

He would bring in 5 Brandon Weedens to compete for the job. Yes Gruden is entertaining but he was awful after Dungys players left Tampa and they had to rely on the offense. He lost to us with BRAD JOHNSON as the starter.

Not really.

Or not at least at this juncture.

He needs a coach who actually coaches him.

If it were Parcells, he would probably let 1 or 2 mistakes go by and then chew him out after another mistake. He would also be yelling at Linehan to stop using so much shotgun and run the ball in the red zone.

If it continued, you could bet that Parcells would really lace into him. And that is why he is arguably the greatest head coach at developing QB's in the history of the NFL.

He needs to have someone pull a Larry Allen vs Cortez move on him after a few of those passes.

I fear you may be correct

Garrett wasn't disgusted, he was shell shocked. He's in the final year of his contract and his gravy train QB looked bad both physically and mentally with his reads. Couple that with a poor defense and even a blind man can see the writing on the wall.

Garrett's only way out is for Romo to go down for the season and he has an instant excuse for failure that Jerry can sell to the masses and keep his "yes" man in place.

Understood upon sentiments...but the hard point here, is that this is currently Tony Romo's team. The staff has to continue give him support and provide him with functional alternatives.

The ball is still in the coaching staff's lap, in my view.

They should have benched him after that Int to Willis. That was a ridiculous throw.

We won't bench our starting QB and the team captain the 1st quarter of the 1st game. Seriously?...Looked things over again and I am ready to coment on Romos day. As many have voiced their displeasure I will tell you that Romo had a slow and rusty start...but...............he is not too far off his game and settled down on the training camp type 1st quarter he had. Overall he rated slightly subpar on his completion percentage at just over 60%. He won't be as quick as before but with the constant pressure from his backside Sunday he never got comfortable. Asking Tyron to step up his game to what he did last year (AllWorld) What I love about Romo is that despite having to dodge tacklers in the pocket as he reads the DBs and backers he generally is able to make a play. I give most of the sluggish start to #9 becoming comfortable and do think that the team feels more than ok about week 1 performance and knows what it needs to do. 16 game season. Every week is big.

Problem is I don't think the staff will do anything and I also personally feel that he might get more of a wake up call or jolt if a respected team mate did or said something to him.

But that is all opinion.

Oh, I've seen zero separation distance conversations be effective as well.

Everybody in every profession eventually needs yo be accountable for lackluster performance. Romo is no exception.

Unfortunately, JJ has really cemented the country club good old boy atmosphere in the organization and stuff like that doesn't happen. Unless you're Ratliff, apparently.

You beat me to it. Remember what Jimmy said. There is a country club atmosphere in Dallas. Nobody will get on Tony. They're all big buddies.

If only it was that easy, I fear Romo might need a new back and a anti aging potion
