If you're going to pay Ware on past performance, it should be on his immediate past performance, not from 2-3 years ago.

He's still relatively young, I guess a 2nd, plus a later round, along with a 3rd for Austin. With the second you could land a solid G along with other goodies. Honestly.

Wow, Im getting really excited with all these picks we're getting ready to get.

lol so the idea of trading Miles Austin AND getting a 3rd rounder really isnt likely...

I find it a little frustrating that this topic is explained on various threads on this forum Every Single Day.

Multiple times per day, multiple times per thread sometimes.

And STILL there are AVID posters who simply don't get it.
Some people think that trading in the NBA, or MLB is the same as trading in the NFL it seems.

Please fellow posters: Learn at least the very basics of trades in the NFL and learn why they rarely happen in the first place before spouting off about them.

Please.

They could just have the Cowboys give him the pay cut if absorbing the initial contract was an issue.

The point, which I made earlier, is why would Ware agree to a pay cut?

Ware should never take a pay cut.

The jones family made 350 million on the team alone in profit last year.

When they do something to help the organization then the players should take pay cuts to help. They currently do not.

Last night on special edition Stephen jones called it a great season and said he is enjoying watching the playoffs.

That's the numer 2 guy here.

I would never take a paycut to play for these people.

That's really irrelevant to Ware. He shouldn't take a pay cut because it is impossible to know his value on the open market. They should cut him and let him test the market. If he really wants to stay in Dallas, then he can allow them the option to match his best offer.

All of the other stuff would be Ware making an emotion decision, not a business decision.

Again Ware was once great and a great man on top of that. I simply don't think he has it left in him. Be smart and let him walk the smart teams do.

Well of course, but ware would get paid on the open market so if we cut him he is gone.

I think he would be great as a situational guy. Probably can get double digit sacks again. He can't play every down, though.
