What I like, Juke, is that he's gotten better with each start.

After that Carolina game, many said, "Yeah, but can he do it again?" He's not only done it again but he's gotten better with each try.

I told my son tonight that great players make it look easy as if, "why can't everyone do that it looks so easy?"

Romo seems to have that quality so far after 3 starts and I will also include the 2nd half against the G-men.

It's the ease that he does it with that has floored me.

I keep waiting for the bubble to burst...for the clock to strike midnight...but I think we have ourselves a for real QB.

He does things that can't be taught. He's accurate...he senses the pass rush very well...he's extremely composed...and he's got a great release.

And like I've said, I've taken shots at Parcells for three years. He deserves a lot of credit for this.

Quincy's deep ball was one of his strengths actually...

yes Q did throw a good deep ball.
But TR's throws are more accurate...and less wobble.

You mentioned the accuracy....he's completed 66.7 percent-or-better in each of his three starts.

I agree on the Parcells note. The development of Romo might be his biggest success story here.

Hey..I'm a fan. I also liked Henson.

But I'm a Cowboy fan. Been so for 40 years.

I would LOVE to be wrong about everything said about Parcells.

It's more important to me that the Cowboys win...

I'd rather be wrong and see them win.

I'm not Norsian.

And Dale...he's had a ton of drops...

He also throws a very catchable ball.

If Parcells leaves Romo as a legacy, that'll be fine with me.

I'm interested to see Romo next week vs the Colts.

He's going to have to put up a lot of points..and the Colts defense has actually showed up for the last few weeks.

i wasnt around in the Staubach era but if Romo continues to improve and continues to show the leadership, talent, and poise he has so far then im sure he will be compared to the all time greats not only in the Cowboys history but in NFL history. I know im really jumping the gun big time but man he is showing the talent that the great ones have!!!!!!

If there's one game that worries me a little with Romo, it's this one. I'm curious to see what the "gunslinger" in him does knowing that Peyton is on the other sideline. I'm hopeful it doesn't bring out the worst.

It is a very valid point. He cannot think he has to compete against Peyton. He has to think about how to beat the Colts defense. Let the Cowboys defense worry about Peyton. If he tries to one up him in any way he'll be forcing things and that could be bad.

Words cannot describe how well Romo has done. I admit being wrong about his talent, I never saw anything from him at all until this year in preseason. Any other time he played, he just seemed to lack some arm strength and was real indecisive. The guy looked awesome during the preseason this year and now it has carried over to the regular season. As everyone has said, he makes quick reads, gets the ball out quickly and he seems to usually know where the rush is coming from, avoid it, step up and buy some time for his wideouts to make a play. Don't wake me up either, keep it up ROMO!!!!!

do not kid yourself....i like romo's ability but to a 50 yr old who is a huge staubach fan, it aint even close. staubach would have taken off running
on at least 2 of those plays where tony scarmbled a little.
not knocking romo at all!!! but not staubach either.

He reminds me a lot of Staubach, my favorite Cowboy player. Staubach, 25 to 30 years ago, was given more freedom to be a decision making QB. Apples to apples comparison not possible.

it isnt just the scrmabling...Stuabach was an awesome QB and a great passer in a day where there werent many great passers...he had a great arm and was a tremendous competitor and winner...he is one of the great players of all time

Romo has had 3 good games folks...lets not get carried away here...I honestly see little, if any similarities when watching Romo and comparing him to Staubach (other than both are/were starting QB's for the same team)

That was a great play, but that fake spike crap is one of the things that worries the crap out of me.

I wonder if that was Hurd's problem, and lack of familiarity. Hurd blew that, IMO. But it was a dangerous play regardless.

how did Hurd blow that? Romo threw the ball towards the front instead of throwing it over Hurd's head...he got away with one bigtime there, it could have easily been 10-10 at the half instead of 13-3

Hurd never took off until Romo threw the ball. I just think hurd botched it from the beginning. We don't know their signals or what the call was, but it looked like Hurd took a mental vacation on that one, and ruined the play from the start. It's probably a combination.

Well said, but Romo did change the play to the one that resulted in Owens' touchdown against Arizona. How much leeway to change plays do you think he has?

Romo reminds me of Jeff Garcia 2000-2001. Jeff had two really good years then throwing the ball to T.O. Tony has the stronger arm. Quick decisions, accuracy and then make some plays by buying time. Then there is the occasional times where they have an impulse play and throw a junk pass where the receiver makes the play.

I was actually present at this game in Arizona. I dont think anyone else heard the play change. Even all the fans in the stands were like "what happened?" If you watch the film, you can see that 3/4 of the team didn't know what was going on. Even TUNA came out and said that the ball should have been spiked. Romo changed the play and no one else heard. When Romo was getting ready to throw, Hurd was the only receiver in motion. Good thing it didn't go the other way since it could have easily gone the other way for a TD.
