What message is being sent to the fans, the team, and the NFL when a team that is currently second in the division, has a pretty potent offense doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to try and improve a HISTORICALLY BAD defense? Why should anyone even watch this clown show? It’s mind boggling. Zero accountability.

How do you know what they are doing at this point?

When you try to see if you can get Crosby, Hendrickson and Williams....but the other team says no or wants too much in return. At least they are actually trying for once.
In the last few years they would not even bother calling a team about some top end players or the agents of good FAs.

Now all of that still does not get good players on the team at the end of the day.

But at the same time I would not want them to be giving up picks for sub par players like we have done with Mingo and Milton. Pickens seems to be the exception.

So don't waste picks on the likes of mingo and Milton. If you are going to use picks, make sure it is a top end player.

because we're promised a great team and we're stupidly sucked in by an owner whom the NFL loves. We're constantly on TV not because we're good but because of our PAST history from earlier Superbowl years

Why trade away future assets to fix a defense that is several players away? Unless they can somehow get an all-pro edge rusher AND depth at DT AND a competent middle linebacker AND safeties that can cover AND corners that don't get lost in zone, why bother?

same one that has been sent for years when they sit on their hands during FA with glaring needs.
Facts.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to try and improve a HISTORICALLY BAD defense?
Memo was sent in March /April, and in case you missed it, Jerry traded away the best defender before the 1st game. Where you been?

If you are going to use picks, make sure it is a top end player.
I don't see a quick fix for the D though so by the time they rebuild, the top end player you traded for is several years older. I just don't see a path given how much they need on D. I think you have to invest in young players and let them grow together.

If you can trade for a young talent you see signs of blossoming, that makes more sense to me.

...that's on Mr Jones as per usual.

He's a nice guy, a family man. Who doesn't like stir things up.

Firing Eberjoke would fix the defense at least 40%.

So, this is where we're at. Enjoy the season. Dont make promises to yourself. ...lol

This season is lost. No point in wasting future draft capital.

"Accountability" is one of those touchy-feely words that sounds great but ultimately means little. Just like "culture".

Games are won with good player first, and good coaching second. Fix that, and you'll have a winning team.

Honestly don’t see a guy who could help. If you traded for a guy with 2-3 years on his contract I could get onboard but not a guy for this year. We aren’t gonna fix this D this year. Look to next year. Use your picks to add some talent. Look at FA to add some talent. Don’t waste your picks for a guy on his last year of a deal who you then have to pay or let walk. The only thing fixing this D is hitting on 3-4 really good players in the draft and that’s tough to do on defense

You can still get a good top end player that has plenty of rubber on the tires.
Not guys at the end of their career.
I think Broaddus said it...if you get a guy, get one that is going to be for now AND the future. Not just getting a guy for now and trying to make a run. This team is not just one or two players away right now.

I don’t want to see mediocre moves just to appease the fan base or to try and salvage the season. If Jerry wants to use those extra picks for a stud that is signed for a few years…..do it. Dallas needs some bonafide talent, not average bodies. Get a DT, MLB and a safety and that solves half the problem.

This offense can’t sit around for a three-year defensive rebuild. Bring players in now and free agency, draft what was missed and shoot for 2026. Those low Packers picks probably won’t find a day one starter that is good.

The two biggest gas bags on the planet (Jerry and Stevie) arent doing nothing. They are doing what they have fone for 30 years, trying to distract fans with endless blather. Been a great strategy do far, am I right?
