per Glazer on FoxSports.

I'd sure like to have a guy that competent in coverage, smart, and fiery on this team in a well-defined role.

I don't know if he has fully recovered from his injury but he was a very good LB'er. He is getting up there in age but I wouldn't mind giving him an work out to see what his condition is.

Thomas has been a great player for a lot of years. He'll wind up with some team that will utilize his services for a few more years. Even if he isn't a full time player, his leadership and fire will be valuable to a team.

I don't see him a good fit for the 3-4, which is probably why Parcells released him, so I don't see him coming here.

He's not a good fit for a 3-4, but he could serve a very nice role on our team, similar to what Seau does in New England. Only playing in certain packages - I know he could seriously improve our pass coverage from the ILB position after watching the trio of Burnett/Ayodele/James stink it up all year.

LOL. Dude wouldn't last 3 plays in a Parcells 3-4.

I don't think he'd be a good fit here as well.

I'd definitely have him in to 'kick the tires'

And it wouldn't surprise me if he's yet another quality player that the Patriots take from Miami.

He's from Pampa, Texas, ergo, I am 100% sure he will be a Cowboy...

Didn't he hurt his neck? Not a good injury for a lb.

He has been a great player but he's too small for a 3-4.

Didn't Marion Barber hurt his neck?

He could play in Wade's 34 just fine... If he had anything left, of course.

That is what I would be concerned over. Entering his 13th season coming off an injury plagued season I would only pick him up at Vet minimum. I don't think Dallas should be making any big offers to Vets on their last leg.

FWIW, Thomas and Donnie Edwards weight the same, although Zach is about 3 inches shorter.

I just feel like his influence, and the improvement he would make in pass defense from our LB group would be invaluable. He'll probably be more inclined to seek a 4-3 team, but I'd love to have him.

I know what your saying, and 3 years ago, great. But not now. We need to stay with the younger players, not a guy we don't know how his health will be.

No, I think Zack hurt his neck in another game. I'm pretty sure Marion did not hurt it...

Personally, I think Z. Thomas is done. The past few years have been injury-riddled.

And really, I want the 'boys to keep getting younger...or stay in prime-career range.

Detroit might make sense. They need LB help. Concussion history is a serious thing to consider when you play middle LB. Have you heard Bill Romanowski speak lately? I couldn't stand that guy when he played, but my heart goes out to guys like that.

It's not just any injury either, it's concussions that took him out of action last year. I also heard somewhere that his wife told him she wants him to retire.

He has the same problem that Troy had towards the end of his career: concussions.
