Let him get released. Depending on injuries in camp and draft we could use someone Dak is familiar with.
Just need the Dolphins to take the guaranteed amount for 2023 and the contract would be fine.Assuming nothing has changed in his ability or health, I would love to have him back as the #4 receiver. Unfortunately his paycheck is pretty hefty for a #4 receiver, and that can't be ignored.
I really liked TY. Very skilled route runner. Disciplined guy who brought a professional attitude to the WR room. He seemed very capable of embarrassing an opponents #2 and #3 CBs. I would bring him back on a vet deal in a heartbeat.Honest question because I never even see a mention of him, so it seems maybe I am: Am I the only one that saw value in what TY Hilton brought to the team?
I suspect he is looking at a vet minimum deal at this point. Would be a perfect #4 IMO. Well, not perfect because that would mean none of our 4 WRs would run down on kickoffs/punts and Brown left a hole there, but ignoring that he would be a great guy to bring back for one more year in a somewhat limited role. Ideally we wait a few months and see if we have any young guys between the ones already on the team and ones we may acquire via draft or UDFA this year that can fill the spot and if not bring in a cheap vet like him
I’m of the thinking that he was “better“ than some here thought as well.No thanks. He was not all that great when he was here, not as many thought he was.
Can get better players in the draft at this point.
I want him back as a #3 because Gallup is a #5 at best....he is toast!Assuming nothing has changed in his ability or health, I would love to have him back as the #4 receiver. Unfortunately his paycheck is pretty hefty for a #4 receiver, and that can't be ignored.
I'm not at all ready to say that about Gallup. He was just coming back off surgery last year. Let's see how he looks this year.I want him back as a #3 because Gallup is a #5 at best....he is toast!
Based on what exactly?Gallup is a #5 at best....he is toast!
MG is overrated. When was he darn good? He had 1 decent year. He is a number 5 wr.Based on what exactly?
Because he was darn good pre-injury and he will be back to 100% by training camp if he isn't already.
I was hoping they'd cut him and we'd get another crack at Cedric, but that was before I saw his contract details. So little of his salary *isn't* guaranteed this year that they'll just keep him if they can't get a trade.Let him get released. Depending on injuries in camp and draft we could use someone Dak is familiar with.
Only 2mil of his salary *isn't* guaranteed.as much as I like him, any team that trades for him is dumb. They will likely eat his deal and cut him. Just wait, then sign him cheap.
They're "open" to trading him.A team that overpaid a player, rarely played him now wants to trade him? No way.
His base salary in 2023 is 7 million (5 million of it is guaranteed) and in 2024 another 7.3 million in base. So no, his cap hit isn't 2 million max.Radio said if traded his cap hit is like 2 million max
This is dumb. Gallup was recovering from knee surgery in 2021 and then had to have his knee and ankle scoped this offseason and it wasn't the same leg. Dude shouldn't have been out there.I want him back as a #3 because Gallup is a #5 at best....he is toast!
I can't recall another #5 WR who had a 1000 yard season. He isn't a #1 WR, but he is better than a #5 WR.MG is overrated. When was he darn good? He had 1 decent year. He is a number 5 wr.
