well I dont recall saying Corona is one of my favorites..and I have met very few beer drinkers that dont like Red Stripe...but ya you're right, it is all preference:beer1:DFWJC;2794704 said:I like Negra Modelo sometimes too. Also have a lot of friends that are fans of Shiner.
Funny that the writer would use water downed beer like Corona or universally trashed Red Stripe as examples of good beer....it's all personal taste I guess.
Corona is considered the PBR of mexico....but I'm a sucker and will drink it on a real hot day.
hey what part of OK do you live in...I was raised in Moore and lived there for 20 years before I joined the USAF...youre right, OK beer sucks...3.22 is no buenoCATCH17;2794635 said:I live in Oklahoma and our beer is so weak that you cant get a good beer at the convenient store.
You have to go to the L store.
I like Fosters.

Sam Adam's makes several good beers. Yuengling is damn good. Magic Hat, Harpoon, and there are a ton of terrific micro brews in the states. A local brew for me... keep an eye out for Star Hill, its amazing...and gaining in popularity quickly.

I used to drink Sam Adams, but switched to Sam Adams Light. The taste isn't as overpowering, but is still very good. It's also a light, though I don't exactly know *how light* it is.

masomenos85;2794573 said:Oh, there's plenty of good domestic beer, most of it is just micro-brew. There are a few large breweries that put out a quality drink though; places like New Belgium in CO and Stone in CA have some tasty beers. In fact, I'd put some of the American micro-brews right up with the best beers from any other country. The major domestics are pretty bad unless your camping or spending a day at the beach though.
That said, college left a soft spot in my heart (or possibly my liver?) for cold, cheap beer on a hot summer day.
