Domino's "our pizzas don't suck anymore" campaign

The wife and I like it, gotta lick the crust at the end of your last bite...

my husband & i tried domino's recently & really enjoyed it. sauce was better, crust was better.

still, there's a place in my town called mackenzie river pizza that makes pizza to die for. it's so good.;)

Whose tried one recently, and what's your verdict?

Maybe just the one I order from but the crust was like shoe leather and the toppings looked dried up and the sauce was almost nonexistent. I gave Domino's one last try and now I'm done with them

We used to get pizza at the local place here in VA, then they started getting cheap and you'd get a pizza with 2 inches of tough crust around the edge.

That's one thing about NY I definitely miss - good pizza.

I'm not a huge fan of NY style pizza. I prefer the thin cracker type crust pizza.

There was a Mazzio's Pizza on Alta Mesa many years ago. Their pizza was the best, but then Mazzio's got bought out and they closed and reopened. After that it wasn't near as good as it had been.

Well there's your problem, you don't like pizza! ;)

Most local Ma and Pa pizza joints in Texas are Dominoes-lite. Not worth paying extra for it.

There was a place downtown called Joey's that was great. Closed rather quickly, tho. *Sigh*

Star Pizza on Norfolk was really good last time I ate there.

I liked the old recipe fine, a little better than the other big chains. The new recipe is Ok too, but yeah the garlic crust is a little too outta control. Pizza Hut is edible but yeah their crust turned sweet. Like their thin crust alright though. I never have liked Papa John's it makes my stomach turn.

Does nobody order the Dominos Brooklyn Style pizza? It's easily the best chain pizza.

Luckily there's a good local place here that is NY style. Problem is delivery wait is too long.

Truthfully, you could put a pile of melted cheese and sizzling pepperoni on a piece of card board box I'd probably like it. However if I am required to pay money for pizza I am a little more discriminating. I say no to Domino's.

We tried it last week actually. As far as those mainstream "across the USA" Pizza delivery joints go, it does indeed suck considerably less than it used to. Crust was okay, but that new Garlic stuff they put on it was shedding all over the place. They still don't put enough cheese on their pizza. Oh, their Wings weren't that bad either.

I always thought they put too much cheese on their pizzas.

The new stuff isn't that much different, and I'm not sure which I prefer more. The garlic on the crust is nice, but I'm not sure I like the extra "kick" in the sauce.

We have a winner. Try pizza in NY sometime and you'll never say the word "Dominoes" again.

Try Rosatis, its a Chicago joint that has locations in McKinney and Frisco

Hideaway is my favorite. After that it's Papa Murphy's. We have a place where I lived called Sbastano's (or something like that) that is Chicago-style, and that is some of the worst pizza I've ever had. If New York-style is anything like that then I would prefer never to have it. I don't know if it is though, so I would probably have New York-style just to try it out.

Sbarros?

Chicago style is just a thick crust.

New York is typically a regular hand-tossed. Like Bob's Friday nights.

Ohhhhhhhhhh!

I live in New York and despise the Pizza, why do people like it? Pennsylvania has the best pizza.

I know this is hard for you guys to fathom but there aren't any good pizza joints in the south. Very few and far in between..

We ordered three for the game last Sunday...

I hate it a lot less now...
Big improvement eh? :D

i liked their old pizzas way better. i'm ok with new ideas, but did they have to kill the old way in the process?
