Done with the NFLs officiating

Calvin Johnson rule. The call was correct but it's a really stupid rule and we're not the first team to get screwed by it
Baloney. He made three steps with the ball, he shifted the ball from his right hand to his left hand. He took his left hand and extended the ball out to try to get it across the goal line. His left hand, when he extended out, was alongside the ball and kept control of the ball. His right elbow clearly touched the ground ending the play before his left hand came down to the ground.

I havent
Screw these refs. I'm boycotting rest of the playoffs and SuperBowl and making a call to the NFL front office tomorrow. This league is a a joke and not sure I want to watch anymore until the stupid refs are held accountable for their on the field actions like the players are.
I haven't watched any of it I wont buy or go to games I LOVE the Cowboys I watch every game but I hate the NFL and everything it stands for its all about gambling and sports betting they don't give a rats *** about players and especially the older ( retired ) ones that they discard into the junk heap with all their health problems.

The better team wasn't given the "W" but it is hard to beat your opponent and the refs. In my mind and for the rest of my life, I believe we won that game.

The call wouldn't have been reversed if he did. You had the ref, Blandino in NY and Pereira who agreed the call should have been reversed

Well he did.. Clear as day he was trying to score. Sorry if you can't see that and you need to go to your local eye doctor.

If the NFL has written a rule that makes that play not a catch then that rule is inappropriately written. Dez had full control of the ball, took multiple steps, and dove for the end zone. But none of that counts even though he traveled 5 yards in the course of it with full control of the ball.

But he already took three steps with the ball. Under your theory it wouldnt be a card after 13 steps either

Go look back and look at the Calvin Johnson play from a few years ago that was more of a catch than this one but like with Dez the ball came loose with Johnson after the ball touched the ground.

NO IT IS NOT. Show me where the ball was popped up by the ground. There was no replay that showed that...therefore...it cannot be overturned. So basic guys....it is ...to quote Stafford, "Unbelievable."

Replay was pretty clear Dez reached for the end zone and lost the ball in the process. If the player goes down during the catch he has to maintain possession end of story

The ball never touched the ground. Football move or not. His arm is underneath the ball the entire time.

This is what I want a gif of showing...

It wasn't as clear as day or the call wouldn't have been reversed go tell those who made the call to go have their eyes checked. Dude don't get personal with me or I'll be done with you on this board.

Do you close your eyes as soon as he hits the ground? The ball clearly comes totally out of his hands as he is rolling over. Again, it's the rule that's the issue. The refs got it right. It sucks but that the way it is.

No I watched the video several times. When he got the ball he took 2 steps. Thats a completion. On the 3rd step he lunged into the endzone and the ground caused the ball to be jarred. The only reason why it came lose was because he was lunging into the endzone which constitute a completion and a football move.

Stop pretending like you know everything. The refs got it wrong big time on this one.

Difference was they made the right call and the Lions still had a chance to go win the game.

That call decided the season.

I don't disagree. I'll be honest, my first response when I saw Dez make that catch was "damn, he didn't come down with possession". My mind immediately went to week one of 2011(?) when Megatron's catch was overturned vs. Chicago.

When the ball touched the ground it was not in the process of making the catch. The catch was already made. He switched hands with the ball put his arm down and lunged for the end zone.

Have you officiated an NFL game before?
