Don't be surprised if the Cowboys trade up

They aren't really giving up a lot. They are just swapping firsts, giving up a 3rd this year and a 4th next year. That is great to move up 13 spots. I don't believe that is actually going to happen though. Just a weird rumor on the Ticket.

Value wise it may be better for the Cowboys, but it is still trading 3 picks for one player. If they do that or any similar large jump for a RB, I believe its Gurley and not Gordon they make that trade for as well.

All that being said, I would probably do that deal for Gurley. Next year they will probably get a 4th RD comp pick so I wouldn't be opposed to it. If it's Gordon though I probably would not be to happy.

Unless Norm Hitzges or Bob Sturm mentioned it. The it was just the usual ticket shtick.

They aren't trading 3 picks for one player. They are getting a #1 for their #1.

IF Gurley or Gordon make it to 21 @ cincy were trading. It'll only take a 3rd and we'll swap 4th's . Seems like a good deal.

We better not start pissing away picks again this year................just stay put and draft our board, there will be good players available in the first 3 rounds without trading up.

To me Gordon/Gurley are that much better than Byron Jones or whoever is going to be there in at 27 + whoever will be there at 87 (as opposed to like 100 if we get a 4th back like we did for Dez). You say pissing away picks... I say pulling a Dez.

Well then, since Cincinnati has no say in the deal...

I think either the Steelers or Bengals will be willing to trade down, the only thing that might hold the Steelers back is if they are after Johnson and he is there at 22.

Today on The Ticket, it was said that Dallas has an agreement in place to move up if Melvin Gordon (RB Wisc.) fell. I can't remember who the trading partner was though. It was stated that we'd give up our 1st, 3rd, and next years 4th to move up to get Gordon.

If Gurley falls past Miami, I wouldn't be shocked if a deal is in place with San Fran.

If Gordon falls much further, I wouldn't be surprised if a lesser deal of is in place for him. The 3rd and next year's 4th sound plausible. I'd also love the move.

I agree. If Dallas truly believes that there are just a handful of players with legitimate 1st Rd ability, then they must believe that Gordon is one of the few and he also fills a need. I'd be totally onboard for a move up to grab him.

It would not surprise me at all if Gurley was to fall to around 14 that the Cowboys make a move.

Or if Gordon were to slide down to the twenties, I can see the Cowboys moving up.

I hate to lose picks but I do think Dallas will do business but it has to be an elite player in my view!

Gordon is coming to Dallas! Lame that Dunbar currently has his jersey. Wonder what number he will wear?

We'll at least attempt to trade with them. It makes sense they want DGB and he should be there sitting for them @27. We want one of those two backs.

Honestly, with all the guys sliding and moving up in projections now, I am not even sure DGB will be there. Then again, with all the movement, he could be there halfway through the second too. This is going to be a weird draft.
