Maybe some haven't explained themselves very well, and I certianly can't speak for everyone, but I believe that most want him convicted if he was drunk or high. But if he wasn't, then you are right, just a bad circumstance.

By the way, when you say "dead" in your post, do you mean deed? And if you did mean deed, then you must not have read the story that told of how Romo stopped to help a couple change a flat.

That sets me in mind of a true story that I witnessed... I was going to college at UTEP, which was then in the WAC, and BYU was visiting... back then, BYU almost always had one or two big Europeans on the roster, on this occasion they had a Yugloslavian center name of Kresimir Cosic... Cosich had this cute little habit of swearing at the refs in Serbic or Croatian, I don't remember which he was...

In the first half of the game, he got whistled for a foul that he objected to, and started swearing in his native tongue... and he got thrown out of the game-- in his native tongue...

The ref's name was Rudy Marich... only Rudy and Kresimir knew what had happened at first, and the big center's eyes got wide as a saucer, he suddenly seemed to shrink like 6 inches as he made his way over to the coach and explained what had happened... all the while, Marich is working hard at not swallowing his whistle as he laughed...

And I'm sittin' in the stands... I actually read about that incident in the next month's Sports Illustrated...

I have no idea what that has to do with the post above yours that I was commenting on but maybe you just needed to whine.

Oh, and I believe 99.5% of America wants to see someone "jammed up" if they are guilty of a crime. I have never heard of anyone who wants someone innocent jailed. I will however give you .5% who might be dumb enough to want innocent people in jail. I find those people to be counter balanced by people who don't want anyone to ever go to jail. Basically saying that only 1% of our population in America is completely stupid about the purpose of jail and who should go. The vast majority of us get it.

but 2 carry it out of the thread that i was just minding my own business in, until a few attacked me, when i made a harmless thread, and make it personal by writing txt under my name, just because your an admin, is kinda childish...so instead of me complaining, i made an attack of my own, in my sig, but obviously somebody got offended and felt the need to protect the mod clique here....its coo tho

This is a tragedy all the way around. From the death of the pedestrian to the involvement of the driver. Nobody wins.

I'm one of those on this board that has never had any alcohol. If it was involved, I am truly saddened by yet another loss...another tragedy.

As far as the race issues we have in this country, I'm just trying to raise my own son the best that I can. I have no real impact on any of you. For those that want to assume I am racist because I am white, I can only make sure that my descendants don't hold your kids accountable by transferring to them any resentment that I might have.
