As to players liking Jason. It's not an unknown thing. He is largely viewed as inspirational and a locker room guy. His leadership is constantly praised. Will everyone love him? I'd rather sit on my *** and not sign anyone than overpay like many teams did for average players and wreck their salary cap. Look at what the Giants did for example.

BTW it is officially the off season. If you aren't playing, it's the off season. Free agency just happens to be a part of it. Just like the draft.

I think the Cowboys would be stupid not to bring him back.

They didn't get anything out of the primary reason that they signed him for last year: a pass rush that could help the team challenge for a Super Bowl. All they got was a concerted effort from certain elements in the media to stir up a giant media distraction which was intended from the get go to perpetually "hate" on the player and sully the organization for signing him.

The season was over when Romo went down and Garrett couldn't coach the team to win one game without a Desean Jackson brain fart to help him to victory.
