A lot of people a bit too thin skinned when it comes to criticism...If it's an opposing player, 'expert/analyst' or Cowboy fan, they're deemed haters...If it's an ex-Cowboy legend, they've lost their marbles...At what point does criticism actually get deemed 'fair'?...After the player is gone?

Aikman >> Staubach

Stauback >> Romo

Romo >> White

How exactly is Romo better than White thus far? White took the Cowboys to the NFC championship game and would have won it if not for probably the best QB in NFL history.

If "The Catch" hadn't happen, the Cowboys would probably have 6 Superbowl rings.

Yeah and I can do it wihout insinuating the Race Card has been played,

AP has proven in big games and in small, game in and game out he not only is arguably the best back in the NFL right now, but can carry that team on his shoulders with or without a QB that is worth anything, even his bad games are better than most starting running backs on 31 other teams, there is no comparison, just like when Emmit was in his prime, Aikman on Aikman off, he could carry the team to victory.............

You mean like how he carried the Vikings over the Eagles in the playoffs last season?

he fumbled the ball away on the last drive ergo he choked away a win. All he had to do was hold on to the ball and drive us another 15-20 yards for a winning FG. He couldn't do it.

Substitute Romo for White in that circumstance and he would be getting guillotined on this board.

He's one of my favorite Cowboys.

I loved to watch him run.

Beautiful.

I went to the Hall of Fame to see him and Randy White Inducted.

What is it with old Cowboys flapping their gums all the time?
They are past their "real teeth" prime.

You guys forget what an interception machine that Danny White was. I loved him as a QB (and punter), but he made many mistakes in big games. Remember "No Danny No!!?" How could any of us forget that ? Remember that NFC title game in Washington where he threw multiple picks and cried on the bench after a pick 6? Romo can play at least that well and maybe better. Time will tell.

Line 'em each up in their prime and Tony outthrows all of them.

Maybe...but each had their own abilities.

Aikman - accuracy

Staubach - smart

White - Not bad at all.

Romo - I guess we find out...he's gotta show it. And I think he will.

I agree with Tony's comments and as a fan of the Cowboys I feel I can't trust Romo.

When it comes to Romo I'm like a battered wife, "I want to trust that things will change but I'm just so afraid he is going to hurt me again"

wow. based on what? stats? His career hasn't fully played out yet, so Romo's place isn't quite clear, but I wouldn't put him ahead of at least 2 of those guys and probably not all 3. There's more to qb play than stats, like leadership, character, coming through in the clutch, the ability to bounce back, command in the huddle. I'd say Staubach and Aikman excelled in most of those areas. Romo? Not so much. At least not yet.

But hey, he throws for alot of yards and td's. He's a stat *****. Jury's out on what kind of qb he is.
