Aren't you the one who said comparing QBs from different eras was a no-no? That doesn't just apply to passer rating systems. :D

TD is sick of watching this team underachieve while losing games they would win if they were more focused.

Why has the media given him alot of credit? Well, let's see....

the media is all about stats whether anyone likes it or not...so here are a couple...

Highest winning percentage AND highest QB rating over their first 40 games in a career.

THAT'S why he has been a media darling for the most part...right or wrong, that is it....not to mention the many times we have seen him make plays out of nothing.

Plus, it's not like he is in a West Coast Offense, just dinking and dunking it down the field....he's making down the field throws which has a less % chance of being completed.

The next QB tha comes along and does the same things that he has done will be the next media darling....that's just the way it is.

BTW, what did Stabler say when asked how to become recognized as a "great" QB....he said to get your butt on a good team.

Here's another "Stat" for all of you that hate stats....has to do with Yards Per Attempt:

Cleveland's Otto Graham is No. 1 on the YPA list (8.63). Not so coincidentally, he was the most successful quarterback in history, leading his Browns to six straight championship games in his six seasons as an NFL quarterback (1950-55), winning three of them. (Graham also led the Browns to four straight championships in the AAFC before the club joined the NFL -- he averaged a stunning 9.51 yards per attempt against that league's inferior competition.)

Chicago's Sid Luckman is No. 2 on the YPA list (8.42). Not so coincidentally, he was the most successful quarterback of the 1940s, virtually inventing the modern position that we know today while leading the Bears to four NFL titles.

Then there's Romo at No. 3. Following Sunday's (Tampa Bay)performance, he has averaged 8.18 yards per pass attempt in his career. To put this figure another way, it makes Romo more effective at getting the ball down field than any passer since Graham hung up the black high-tops 54 years ago.

That's elite company.

I know Tony Dorsett is one of the all time greats, but he just needs to shut the hell up about Romo.

We did not win a single game last year with Romo not playing, we would be a 4-5 win team without Romo. Is Romo the best QB in the NFL, of course not. However, he is the best QB we have had since Aikman and all those guys wanting Romo replaced forget what it was like before Romo.

We had 17 different starting QBs between Aikman and Romo. Think about that fellas, 17 different starting QBs??? Alot of fans think it is just a matter of drafting a QB and putting him in the lineup, but they fail to comprehend that for every Mattt Ryan you also get a Jeff George or a Ryan Leaf.

If it was so easy to aquire a franchise QB, then why the hell are there so many teams without one???

Let's just take it as a compliment....they are comparing the best RB in the league with our QB....and they don't even know it....:)

It could be worse.

I feel like Batman in Arkham Asylum.

All you boys attacked me in this thread ..... not visa versa

I was commenting on the thread .... you 4 came in here to "fight"

We got one guy here who never posts ..... and 3 guys who get slapped around by multiple people in every thread they post in.

Take a look at the other threads you fellas have posted in ..... see how you are ridiculed by everyone ..... thats not my fault its yours.

:laugh2:

The only thing you have in common with Batman is potentially the all rubber suits you wear when nobody is watching or maybe even a relationship with a fellow that wears a clever facial disguise we all know as Robin...This and the living arrangements you two share are none of my business...but to get ur short and curlies in a tizzy cause of a disagreement is ludicrous....

Romo is a good QB but not a superstar....just because he dominates certain categories after a few years (Mr. YPA) doesn't mean he is perennial HOF...You went from a old, failing butt hurt Bledsoe (You can thank Brady for that) to a young stud that could do no wrong...then the playoffs hit...ok low blow, I expect the trophy cases to follow...but in all seriousness Romo is not the truth he was a dramatic improvement from Bledsoe at that point in his career and that is it...IMO
