Doug Free Getting Beat

Although that play makes Free look bad, I've been very pleased with how he's come back this season to be the player Dallas thought it was getting when it signed him to a long-term deal. Both of Dallas' tackles have been very good.

The same thing happened to him in Week One. A Giant LB knocked him down the same way.

No, that was a cheat. The defensive end set him up and the linebacker ran in and blindsided Free. On this one, he simply got whipped.

Getting knocked on your rear end is a cheat? Really?

He got blasted on both plays. Literally knocked back 3-4 yards on both occasions. Free wasn't blindsided by the Giants - he was hit at his shoulder level from the side.

And it wasn't hands to the face either. He just got destroyed.

It's pretty alarming to see him get beat that badly. That's Phil Costa type stuff.

I probably watched more football than you and yes I've seen big men get pushed or pushed down but not flying 3 yards and land on his arse like that.

Reggie White did that to Larry Allen with one arm when Allen was a rookie. Threw him like a rag doll.

Dam Free, how you getting owned like that holmes.

Hit the weight room or something........................jeez

No, I'm saying it wasn't straight-up getting manhandled. I'm not sure any offensive lineman would have been able to stand up to what the Giants did. They set him up with one-on-one blocking, then brought the linebacker in late to barrel into Free and let the DL loop inside. Free didn't see it coming because teams don't normally do that.

I didn't mean it was a cheat as in a dirty play.

Me too.

Pretty sure he grabbed his face mask, pulled it down, then shoved him back by it.

Romo played through stomach issues. Was throwing up last night. Gutted it out to lead cowboys to victory

@SportsSturm was that Doug Free that looked like he took a movie-style shotgun blast to the chest on that last 3rd down play?

Jerry says hyper extension for Dunbar. Week or two maybe.

Rowan Kavner ‏@KavnerDC 18m
Garrett said Dunbar wouldn't have been able to go back in, but didn't say how severe they thought it was

Romo now 24-5 in month of November.

Jerry Jones says Romo was sick, had "terrible stomach issues" last night "He's a gamer."

With Cowboys' win today, Commanders will be officially eliminated from playoff contention entirely if they lose Sunday night to the Giants.

well............a hyperextension for Dunbar would be GOOD news at this point....No ligament damage would be awesome

Yep, that was exactly like what happened to Larry Allen when he first faced Reggie White. I knew a Phil Costa shot would be coming from someone, yet Free has been pretty solid all year.

free got his arms to far ahead of his feet. I see that a lot from free and when that happens he gets pushed around on the ground. this is what brodaus( spelling wrong) writes about is free main problem.

Free has been better than last year, but is still a player that I would like to see upgraded. Free is not a good run blocker. The Right Tackle should be a better run blocker than the LT, but that's not the case on this team.

I was disappointed that Parnell was injured for most of training-camp/pre-season. He is a better run blocker than Free and has the potential to be better in pass protection with enough experience.

The OLine's run blocking was better today than it has been in most games this season. I can't comment on Free in today's game until I've reviewed the game footage.
