Doug Free Getting Beat

Gonna get ribbed about that in the tape session, that's for sure. Thank God for that chip block by the RB.

You guys totally need to dub in the soundtrack of the "tree falling in the forest" commercial with that gif.

You know I saw that in real-time and thought OMG.....but you want to know the funny thing? That's probably the longest Romo had to throw all day. Actually i'm sure it is. Romo just at in the pocket untouched there. What was that about? The guy flung Free and then just sort of sat there?

Looked like his right cleat got stuck in the turf there causing him to lose balance, but what do I know!

No, we were lucky that at the moment Free lost balance, the back chipped the DE and spun him, by the time he started to get his bearings again, our RG who didn't have a man turned to him and blocked. Free had bad technique and let himself get knocked off balance that's all.

Sure wish he had played like this after he got paid. Real interesting how solid he was even at LT and swinging that season to RT for columbo, solid at both spots in a contract year then goes to crap after getting locked down. After being forced to take a pay cut and renegotiate his pay he's no longer a turnstile.

I'd be looking to replace him in the offseason as he's shown his affinity to get complacent and comfortable.

Tony Romo said he has the flu and took some meds to fight through it.

Dez Bryant was having a blast in the locker room. Taking credit for teaching @BCarr39 how to catch. Said he's been "working with him." Haha

So is Jerry playing Doctor again ? LOL

This is not the first time I've seen this happen to this guy though... I really wish they would replace the entire right side of the offensive line.

Yes, Berny was on it that play. He gets a lot of grief, but he cleaned up that one well.

after these last two games i'm staritng to think Carr can catch and hold on to the ball better than dez I hate to say.

And people wonder why Romo doesn't trust this offensive line. There's too many times where an assignment gets blown, or one of our linemen just gets straight up man handled.

Hilarious quote where the dude said it looked like Free took a movie style shot gun blast to the chest, it honestly does. It also looks as if he's flopping and trying to get a penalty called. This isn't the NBA, Free.

Have not seen an Olineman go airborne like that is quite sometime.
To his credit, he's playing much better than last year, and for a lot less dough.

Not to get off subject, but it drives me nuts that members here always identify problems and their solutions before our FO does. Given what they are paid, shouldn't they be dazzling US with their brilliance?

Clearly Jason has taken back over the play calling, except he doesn't seem as lazy and predictable as before (that's probably the biggest problem with this organization- everyone is too comfortable). He looks like he's actually trying to play to win now. Reminds me of 2007 before he sandbagged wade (lol)

We hire a guy with an overly complex defensive scheme and try to make it work in a short offseason and he later admits he didn't have enough time to teach it and needs to dumb it down (you don't say? Most posters here saw that coming before the lockout took place. Why didn't he??)

We hire a guy who is probably way past his prime trying to replicate his successfull scheme from we'll over a decade ago, using the physically wrong player models for his 4-3 zone defense scheme one year after we invest highly into a early "rare ability" physical bump and run corner and pay big for another big physical corner ( the best FA) at the time. When this whole defense is built around Parcells philosophy of using a proven player model for every position to fit the 3-4. Now we have a 3-4 modeled defense trying to play a 4-3, schemed by a guy who's no longer the an innovator, but rather just trying to recreate the "days of old"

And we have a young go getting hungry QB coach on our squad find himself a HC down the road in with the Saints and win a Super Bowl within a couple years and takes a crap team to a yearly SB contender consistently year after year. Personally I'd like to see what Wes Phllips could do with our defense. He obviously wants to be here and he's a third gen football coach who wants to make his mark.

We need to get rid of the career backup coach we have, fire gramps, and get some hungry innovators on the team (lots of experience is just set in their ways IMO). Sorry for the rant, beers are kicking in ;)

The same thing happened to him in Week One. A Giant LB knocked him down the same way.

yeah it was embarrassing that free got handled like that this game. If you are referring to the wham block that LB did to free when he was set to engage an DE not the same type of play. He was targetted by the LBer to be "picked" blind side so the DE could go around him

i saw at least 2 different occasions where DWare launched jake long flat on his back with 1 arm like this when we played the rams. dont have all 22 but would love to see those gifs.

Just me or was it the first time I've seen them show a live all 22 view in game tonight? It was only a couple seconds but I found myself wishing they would show just one play from that view
