I was being conservative! More like 5-7. Is that good enough for your elite taste?
Does it win you superbowls?
I bet you used to get medals for participating didn’t you?
You came in second last and Mom and Pop praised you to the hilt while the winner had collected his medal, gone home and watched the full version of Schindler’s list before you crossed the finish line.
But hay you weren’t last!

Exactly my point - did Jerry really have melanoma or is he just saying he did for attention? Channel 4 news here in north Texas reported last week that Jerry was also claiming to have had a hip replacement at some point in the last 10 years. That certainly would not have been easily hidden, so is everything he is saying just a massive pile of BS?

Like you said, 'with it being Jerry, no idea how accurate it is'.
Absolutely. If there's anyone to use beating cancer for attention and sympathy, it's Jerry. If he really did beat cancer, good for him. Doesn't change my opinion about him one bit.

Wow top 12!!
I’m giddy.
I wonder how many medals you get for being in the top 12???
Boy standards have reached rock bottom around here if you’re boasting about being in the top 12.
it does show our expectations have dropped significantly

They did a great job of doing that as well as documenting the Texas size ego of Jerry Jones and his unwillingness to get out of his own way.

Just watched the first episode, I loved it! Lots of chills down the spine, look forward to the next 7.

All of you “won’t watchers” please do yourself a favor and watch.. it was beautifully done and the crazy part about it is that the people that don’t like Jerry will probably change their opinion about how they feel about him. Jerry is going to find himself with a lot of new fans. Mark my words.

I’m a part of the I lived it crowd, Dallas became my favorite team back in 76 so I’ve seen the peaks and valleys.. just watch it.

The show is getting a lot of praise, but man I don't know if can tolerate listening to Jerry spout off anymore.

Ill probably break down a give it a shot, but expect I'll get angry and turn it off.
The forum turned on me HARD for showcasing a 3 minute TV spot.

There's a couple things about Jerry...I love his loyalty to his employees. Very endearing.

I love his loyalty to his family...but in business...you CAN'T love "working with my kids a dream come true" more than business success.

(edit: I suppose "success" is in the eye of the beholder, eh? But Jerry...imagine what another super bowl or two would have done for your legacy "success")

And you HAVE to hire the right people around you, trust them and let them do what they are good at. Get out the way...and be proud YOU put the right people in the right place.

He did for Jimmy and look what that got him. he stopped doing that and look what it got him Aside from being richer than ever and "working with his kids".

Agreed on all. May have said it before but Jerry is such a waste. He came into the league as a legitimate maverick and blew their doors off.

Unfortunately instead of continuing to grow and build this team his same ego which brought him a lot of our initial success is crushing us.

Instead of going down as a folk hero in Cowboys nation he's the villain.

Nope, not watching it. I already know all I need to know from having lived it, having recorded all of it (still have them), and from already having viewed many such documentaries. There are only so many ways you can scramble eggs. Plus, I can't stand to hear or see Jerry speak anymore about anything.

All this nostalgia does for me anymore is to remind me how It's been 30 years of Jerry Jones..

Right? He had the GOLDEN Ticket! He knew what he wanted and how to get it.

But he thought HE could make the chocolate. Maybe he could have but jealousy and spite (and hefty dose of stubborn) are poison.

So is unbelievable, unfathomable.... amounts of money. I wonder if this show covers HOW he did that without any 'ultimate" success for 30 years. Did the 90s make THAT much, it could not only sustain but BUILD 30 years?

Right! I watched a short segment on TV the other day...a different show....and I was like....what in God's name is he babbling about? I can't imagine sitting through this doc. Only if...at the end...he says :"next year I'm hiring a GM">

Yeah man and to see Jimmy take some of the visceral hate off of Jerry and admit that it was as much as his fault too literally had my eyes watering. Sheesh.

I watched the first 3 episodes last night and my wife said “I like Jerry Jones in this” I said “please stop”

I feel like it would just make me sad.
I thought the same. But it’s very good. The 94 NFCCG episode is so good. That game is so painful… still to this day. But the way they show and talk about it is awesome.
