They should be fun to watch. I just hope our tackles don't limit the whole offense though. It would also be nice not to be so pass dependent. I am afraid we may be though.

I really hope Ferguson bounces back this year. I really thought he was going to make another step last year. He did...but it was backwards.

"I do believe if we're not being looked at, then I'll do my part to get us looked at," Jones tells Yahoo.

They’re the most valuable sports franchise in the world — yet they haven’t won a Super Bowl in nearly 30 years. So, how do you keep the nickname “America’s Team” without winning a championship since 1996? Look no further than Dallas Cowboys mastermind Jerry Jones, whose knack for turning the organization into a year-round headline machine keeps the brand unavoidable.

The latest look inside the storied franchise comes courtesy of Netflix’s docuseries America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys, out now. A global streaming sensation with 1.9 million views since its Aug. 19 release, it’s a must-watch not just for sports fans, but for anyone curious about how the Cowboys became a football dynasty — and a cultural phenomenon.

"I do believe if we're not being looked at, then I'll do my part to get us looked at," Jerry told Yahoo at the Aug. 11 premiere. The 82-year-old businessman officially serves as owner, president and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys, but he also relishes the role of provocateur. If the spotlight ever dims, Jerry's more than willing to grab our attention and make sure the team remains impossible to ignore.

"The beautiful thing for networks or streaming companies is that the NFL is a 365-day-a-year interest factor. A lot of programming — you have to spend as much to promote it as you do to make it," he continued. "The Cowboys are a soap opera, 365 days a year. When it gets slow, I'll stir it up."

After a 7-10 season, many are not looking at the Cowboys.

So Michael is "holding out."

One thing that wasn’t really brought up about Micah’s trade request is how it was worded. He doesn’t write that, his agent does. There is very specific wording that goes into it that is vetted and PR’d to death.

In a normal “trade me” tweet, the wording will be something like “I wish I could be a Seahawk for life. I don’t really want to leave the team, but our negations have left me no choice”. Micah’s was nothing like that, it was roughly “get me off this team. I don’t want to have anything to do with the cowboys anymore.”

As always, could be wrong, but this doesn’t feel like Jerry is waiting for a midnight deal week 1. There’s a real problem going on
Eh, I still think it's PR with a slightly different spin than usual. A new contract heals a lot of wounds like the "Zeke who?" thing the hope posters got all excited about back when, lol.

A decision to trade or sign should have been made after year 3. At the very least before the draft. Trading him now means going a year without him or the use of the picks. Jerry had to know what the contract was gonna look at. It’s not a big secret. Every front office has a good idea what a player is gonna cost to extend. The smart teams nane those decisions in advance
A decision not to trade was made after year 3. That doesn't mean an agreed price to extend was reached. Jerry assumed otherwise when they talked early in the offseason. He dismissed Micah's request to talk to his agent. Jerry's reluctance to include Micah's agent is the crux of the matter. I think it's malpractice as a GM.

I disagree completely. The time to trade Micah would’ve been after the GB game if you felt like the roster wasn’t competitive. They re-signed (and both negotiations were also bad btw) 2/3 of their best players insinuating from a roster perspective they were more in than out. Acting like the Cowboys can afford to tread water in a middle of the pack draft range potentially is just another waste of a year. If you’re not competing then you need to be tooling up. They’re doing neither. Absolute failure from owner to roster management. Sitting around to see who blinks first is the absolute worst thing they can do so of course that’s what’s going to happen
No, you need teams to compete for him with better trade offers. The time is now. True contenders would LOVE to add him now. Turn it into a bidding war.

This season is already cooked. This is about 3 years from now.

He's not your usual UFL scrub. He actually had/has talent, and showed it in college. His issues were off field problems.

But that said, he's not really a 1T where they've been trying him.
I mean that’s typically those UFL guys. Turpin had issues and Aubrey issues was he came from soccer. There is some talent and people rule them out as scrubs but Cowboys have had some nice luck there.

I do understand that we are in the here and now so saying what they should’ve done is just filling space, but I do agree they need to do SOMETHING and at this point my vote is trade as well

Micah has way more power than people are giving him credit for, especially how this roster is constructed. He could derail the entire season; TO did it to Philly, LeVeon Bell did it to the Steelers, Antonio Brown did it to Vegas, Fitzpatrick almost did it to the Jets, AP did it to the Vikings. Show up every day until game day, say you can’t go because of your back, and if the Cowboys get mad he can file a grievance with the NFLPA about the team not respecting his injury recovery. Proceed to get paid all season without playing a snap.

This can be the single most regrettable season that Jerry has ever had owning the team. Figure it out before game 1, letting it linger will only make it worse.
The season is already derailed. That's why Micah has zero power. He can't change the outcome for this roster anyway. It's cooked.

If the Cowboys brass wanted to trade their best player it should have been done during the 2025 draft or just before it.

If they intended to pay him, the deal should have been completed in March or during the 2024 season.

Either way, the GM hasn't handled it well at all. Decisive decision making is what keeps the best franchises in sports winning and successful. Dallas under Jerry Jones the GM is not that.

Unless there’s a bidding war, the price goes down with the other team knowing Parsons is unhappy and his agent is a jerk. Also, Jerry’s never NOT gotten fleeced in trades other than Herschel

Then they can just let it ride. Dallas another full year and two franchise tags on Parsons. He has no power.

They even cleared him to play with the MRI so they can dock him a games's pay if he doesn't play Thursday.

Marketing, PR, media, and business genius! Undeniable. He is great for the NFL brand and the Cowboys brand.

Football genius? One of the better GMs in football? One of the better GMs in professional sports? Clearly these questions are rhetorical. Even the staunchest Jerry supporters/Cowboys team over individual player knows the true answer to each question.

Unfortunately, a full rebuild was the best option here, and that would have started with not paying #4.
