I'm pretty sure College kids can get down to old school party songs, like alot of the stuff from DJ Quik, Busta Rhymes, Dipset, pretty much anything from Dre's 2001 cd and most of The Chronic, E-40, Mac Dre, you name it. And I'm about to be going to College, so I hope I get the chance to DJ some of my friends parties .

Man you should check out some Murs, Living Legends, Pac Div stuff man, the west be pumpin out some good underground. Some gangster stuff is still flowing though, you should look up Nipsey Hussle, kid spits pretty good. Nah is that like a forum? Rampage, your rap opinions are much like mine. I am still a huge fan of the genre and always will be but nothing today will ever replace the late 80's and pretty much most of the 90's rap scene for me. I think what ruined hip hop or at least started the downward trend is when Master P and the No Limit soldiers came in and watered down the music. Releasing crap albums almost on a weekly, monthly basis. Then everyone started to copy that style because it was unfortunately successful. The music hasn't recovered ever since. I still listen to a lot of my old CD's but I don't have many favorites today. I listen to Common, Mos Def, Kanye, Nas, and some others but there isn't many artists that get my attention these days.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is TONS, and TONS of bad rap from every decade.

Your taste just seems more conscious rap focused, but swagger and party rap has been part of hip-hop since it started.

Rapper's Delight is a certified classic and they don't say a damn thing on the whole track.

Yeah, there is alot of bad rad from every decade, but it seems like the 90's had alot more hitters than just lame music. As for that song, I asked my dad and my uncle if they ever heard this, they said no. Anyway wouldn't this be put into the "New Wave" genre?
