Ehh Bubba Sparxx was alright, he did have some country swagger though I'll give him that. I would take the Beasties, Eminem, and most of the Rhymesayers Crew(Slug, Brother Ali, Eyedea) over him.

Yeah, there is alot of bad rad from every decade, but it seems like the 90's had alot more hitters than just lame music. As for that song, I asked my dad and my uncle if they ever heard this, they said no. Anyway wouldn't this be put into the "New Wave" genre?

Of course they never heard of it, it was the 80's. They were all blasted out of their minds! :laugh2:

I don't know if there were a lot more hitters in the 90's, there was a lot more "gangster" rap after people got tired of buying MC Hammer albums.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is TONS, and TONS of bad rap from every decade.

Your taste just seems more conscious rap focused, but swagger and party rap has been part of hip-hop since it started.

Rapper's Delight is a certified classic and they don't say a damn thing on the whole track.

You want to tell me that Wham Rap is somehow better than Luda's "How Low" because it's from the 80's?

I like the party rap too but usually that is just one song and not an entire album.

To me, the 90s introduced the fusion of hip-hop and R&b. You almost don't know which type of song is which nowadays.

The only difference I see now is the lack variety of popular artists. The same conscious-type artists are still there, but they're not mainstream.

J Cole can drop some heat, Smokie you should check out that B.o.B mixtape he has out, theres a song called Gladiators Ft. J. Cole and its produced by Alchemist, its fire. But dont hate on canuck, I don't like Drake myself but Canuck is from Canada, thats like the only rapper reppin' Canada right now.

Lol yeah i have, It's all because Cube's new cd is called "I Am The West" and the lil new west rappers took it offensive. There are some new west rappers that are dope but they will never be heard nationally, Jay Rock being one of them. He's kind of wack now but his old stuff is fire. Ice Cube should be putting on kids like Nipsey Hussle though like snoop is, that kid should blow up.

yeah I've been a Cube fan forever, I was raised up by my pops on Gangsta Rap, but then I had to take the stroll to find rappers outside the west, thats all my dad listens to lol. Wu-Massacre is ill, that Meth Vs Chef Pt. 2 is Fire. That Our Dreams single is ill too but i havent gotten the whole cd, I wasn't really feelin Criminology 2.5 though, it was kind of the same beat but they made it sound corny. Im going to Paid Dues Festival next week im so stoked, Ice Cube, Murs, Raekwon, Tha Dogg Pound, Jay Electronica, Dilated Peoples, People Under The Stairs,RA the Rugged Man
