Draft A QB In The 1st Round

You trade up.

The Chiefs did it to get Mahomes.

They had just got eliminated from the playoffs with Alex Smith, traded up and took Mahomes at 10, and got their guy.

Also, nobody knew Mahomes was going to be as great as he is, but the Chiefs took a chance and it paid off.

You will never get Mahomes if you stick with Alex Smith.
So gotta ask ... Is McCarthy as good of a coach as Reed?

IT is funny people want to get rid of Parsons but want top 10 picks for him lol. You can't make it up lol.
I never said anything about what picks I expect to get for him but he's still on his rookie deal so he's worth something.

I'm just over his fake bravado and whiny attitude

Knowing Jerry, he'll trade for Justin Fields while Chicago draft USC's Williams.

It's been 35 years since the Cowboys last took a QB in the 1st round. That was Troy Aikman and the rest is history.

The most important position in professional sports should be taken much more seriously than the Dallas Cowboys organization takes it.

Out of 32 you’re drafting what 27 or 28 ? Do you pick a QB late in first round if it’s that late . Drafting up means , moving up you give up the house , probably guts your next 2 drafts . Definitely don’t extend 4 !

You must first change Jerry Jones' opinion he already has a franchise quarterback on his roster. Do you have any other alteratives that might support what Jerry Jones will do as far as drafting a quarterback in the first round?

I only specific Jerry Jones because he is the only person on the planet Earth who may or may not do anything concerning this topic. CowboysZone members can tear at each other as they have for YEARS on decision making but it has been and will forever be totally misplaced because only one individual may or may not do what people want. Period.

Get picks for Dak. Start Lance. Draft a first rounder to replace Lance. Find another project boy for #3. Keep the pressure on until you win the Super Bowl.

If Belichick comes in, he may want to stay with Dak, I’m sure he’s tired of kids who don’t understand the game. And I’m fine with that as long as it’s a Belichick decision, not a Jerry insistence.

That's literally every player in the NFL lol....you can't get rid of guys because you don't like their attitude lol. You won't have a team.
