It's not revisionist history. The Chiefs traded for Pat Mahomes because they thought he'd be a top 5 guy. They knew what others didn't. Andy Reid had McNabb and Mahomes. He knows what real quarterbacks look like. This team tried to trade for Paxton Lynch and draft Johnny Manziel. So yeah I guess that's on par with knowing how to evaluate QB.
And they paid Dak Prescott.

Good point! Maybe you're right about their evaluation of QBs afterall.

Big difference having an offseason to integrate...
Yeah I think it's an excuse. Either you know how to play or you don't. Now I'm not writing him off. But a offseason isn't gonna magically prepare him for the season especially if it didn't in San Fran. He's had offseason's before. I guess what I'm saying is we think a McCarthy led offense is more QB friendly than a Shanahan offense?

They're picking late in the 1st round with limited draft capital. One would have to fall in their lap and even then I doubt they'd go there.

You can't get rid of Prescott that easily. You have at least another contract to go through.

Oh ok cool. So Jayden Daniels and Michael Penix are the next Pat Mahomes. Cool. Sign me up. I wonder does the rest of the league know they are on their way to being one of the best QB's of all time?
There’s no guarantee any player will succeed. But Imagine telling Andy Reid to pass on Patrick Mahomes because there’s no guarantee it’ll work out. What kind of attitude is that?

The only thing guaranteed is Dallas will fail to develop every QB they refuse to draft. The willingness to try is how teams are eventually rewarded.

What elite talent did Dak have this year and where did it go?
This offense was overhyped. Really CeeDee is the only elite talent Dak had all season. Pollard was a shell of himself. BUT that doesn’t erase Daks tendencies in big time games. Today you could tell he had tunnel vision. If he could learn to relax and not be a deer in headlights I think we could go the distance. Jordan Love had nothing to lose tonight… Dak needs to feel like that every time he steps on the field in order to play well.

IT is funny people want to get rid of Parsons but want top 10 picks for him lol. You can't make it up lol.
Wentz and Bradford got picks for them…
And most people think Parsons is one of the best defensive players in the league right now. Only takes one dumb team, see first sentence.

I think he has no confidence in what he sees. I'm not sure why. This wasn't a thing about Dak. Remember what he looked like his rookie season against GB? This is something new with Dak and I'm not entirely sure where it came from. His rookie season he was at his height in big moments.

I'm curious, of all other teams are we the only one to not take a QB in the 1st round in last 35 years?
