Draft Day Menu

I always enjoy seeing the human side of the people on this board. Thanks for your regular insight and contributions to this board.

I am glad to hear that your dad is doing well and recovering. It is important to remember that behind each post on this board is a real person who lives a real life, and has real life events and challenges that affect them, and who mostly just happens to share the love of Cowboy football with the rest of us.

I am ready for this draft to begin. This is one of my favorite events of the year. It’s like Christmas morning as a child for me. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do, and GO COWBOYS.
That's cool, brother....yes, we all have real worlds to deal with. The Cowboys is a nice distraction and the back and forth can sometimes help someone vent.
Salud!

What are you eating for the draft?! The wife is making me subs, chips and dip and something sweet!! Lol, hopefully I don't have to throw the food at the TV!!!! Let's go cowboys!!
Well, if that might happen then only eat Popcorn, Probably can even get as far as the TV lol Just small snacks, finger food..

You do realize there's another half day menu thread by Ranching, as usual ,and start another?

LOL :muttley:

Ha...never tried that. Salt, obviously, but nothing else. Will give it a go...I like the heat. Thanks for the tip.
It really doesn’t do anything. You would need to add half a cup to notice the subtle heat. I just saute the pepper in evoo first then add to the sauce.

I think I better go back and edit my original post in this thread. Sounds like I'm the only one planning to have an adult beverage or 5.
This doesnt make me look good, fellas (and Mary).

I just noticed there are two separate draft day menu threads, what's happened somebody merge these..lol
Only a very desperate person would want to merge anything with that guy!!!! BLAH!!!! I feel like throwing up! Imitation is a form of flattery or stalking!!! Lol

Time for a good Cowboys related meal. Been a busy month, dad had heart surgery, doing well, at least for a 90 year old. Blessed to have him and get to hang out with him everyday. My daughter and son in law are coming home in two weeks. He's done with his Air Force, 6 year commitment, and we're all excited for the next phase in their lives! Things getting back to normal, so it's ready for a DRAFT DAY MEAL!
Gonna make it quick and simple, bought a couple of 18 oz Ribeye steaks yesterday afternoon, throw them on the grill along with asparagus, onions, mushrooms and loaded mashed potatoes at about 5pm. Also got some cocktail shrimp and sauce for a pre BBQ snack. Got plenty of Kool Aid, that @gtb1943 sent me, ready to go!

Not sure who I want to draft, but like @Bobhaze says, just trust Jerry! Lol, Have fun guys, cuss out Jerry, blame Dak, or be a homer, whatever makes it fun for you! Go Cowboys!
What's on your plate!
Thursday and Friday - Specialty slider burgers, french fries, Shrimp pizza, large Mediterranean style salad, and fruit blend cold brew tea to stay awake.

Draft BAPON (Best Player Available of Need) which is BACON (Best Available Cowboy of Need).

Saturday and Sunday - Morning Breakfast of BACON, pancakes/biscuits, omelettes, grits, fruit, milk, juice, and coffee.

When the draft was 2 days, Saturday and Sunday, we used to do a big BBQ and Boil Party to last all day and have the leftovers for Sunday. I liked the draft best we it was all day Saturday and Sunday.

It really doesn’t do anything. You would need to add half a cup to notice the subtle heat. I just saute the pepper in evoo first then add to the sauce.
I sprinkle red pepper flakes in the sauce from the get-go.

We have nearly-unrivaled Italian food here in Central New York State, but HORRIBLE Mexican food. I've been craving top-tier Mexican for a long time. There used to be a place around here that made killer enchiladas - the red sauce was to-die-for - but they moved on a few years back. Haven't had decent ones since.

Got a VRBO with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains for the weekend.

Ribeye on the grill, Frosty Beer on tap, hot tub, and maybe the Draft.....life is good, God is great.

No offense to my atheist and agnostic friends. Plenty of room for everyone.
