Not a fan of Williams? Who'd you compare him to ceiling wise?
He reminds me of Dez a lot as a player. I can't compare their college tape since I didn't watch Dez, but he wins in college how Dez wins now. I don't see enough separation too often and that worries me some.

I am a fan of his, just a much bigger fan of Davis. I'll be paying close attention to Williams at the combine to see if his numbers indicate anything else.

Gimme your draft hot takes fast and concise.

Here's mine:

  • Restating what I said weeks ago, CB Desmond King is at best a 2nd-3rd round prospect.
  • I think WR Dede Westbrook has been a bit slept on heading toward the draft. If he can keep his head on straight off-the-field, I think Dede Westbrook could be one of the more productive receivers coming out. He reminds me alot of Marvin Harrison and Emmanuel Sanders.
  • There's a ton of draft buzz with Solomon Thomas, but I'm not as enamored. His film shows a guy that could beat most college OGs matched up 1-on-, but I don't see a true RDE that can win the edge and he doesn't have much of a pass rush repitiore. Even when inside he's undersized, getting manhandled when double-teamed and washed out. I think he's a LDE that needs more polish to become an effective pressure player.
  • This sounds like a dig, but QB Brad Kaaya reminds me of a young Brad Johnson; an efficient passer that won't necessarily beat you his arm talent (ala Matt Stafford or Aaron Rogers) but can play within an offense scheme and be effective moving the ball.
  • Marshon Lattimore is the best CB in the draft and there's not even a close second (not Quincy Wilson, Teez Tabor, Sidney Jones, etc.).
What are yours?
-Mahomes sneaks into late first. Exceptionally gifted and high football character
-Strong HB class will have Mixon slip to early day 3.
-Takk McKinley will go top 10. Adoree Jackson top 15.
- JuJu will fall to mid late second round.
- Watson goes in early to mid second.
-3 Safeties in the top 20
-3 HB's in the first round. Maybe 4 with McCaffery
- Dawaan Smoot sneaks into first

dallas values Adoree more than fans think. we like explosive athletes.
I love Jackson and will be interested in seeing how the club values him. They love world class athletic ability in DBs, which he has. They also like size, which he doesnt have

I think QBs go. Top 3: Trubisky. Top 10: Kizer. 20 to 32ish : Mahomes. Early to mid 2nd : Watson and Kayaa

Smoot to me is the overdrafted late first DE that happens almost every year. Projects as a RDE IMO, and could be a 10 sack guy in the right place. I like him as a 2nd round type, but I think he will get overvalued between now and April

If Corey Davis miraculously drops at 28 and we don't pull the trigger so help me god.

Juicy takes.

I'm not a fan of Watson as an NFL QB either.
My thing is how is he brought along? Very talent, if he sits for two years and has a good position coach he can be a good QB. I could see him as a Wilson type. Extremely athletic QB with a rocket arm. I could also see him as a Vick. A thrower not a passer. Or a Bryce Petty. Very good arm talent that just wont get the pro game. To me Watson is all over the place as far as projection

Wouldnt draft him in the first 2 days unless I needed a young QB to groom and had time to groom him. And even then I would still keep looking

Would you be OK with Adoree at 28?

Been doing my mock simulations....and he's gonna be on the board @ 28. Question is...is he worth it?

A poor man's Deion Sanders....I guess you could do worse. But this draft is so deep in CBs through the first 3 rounds....I don't think you need to reach for one in round 1.

That's why I think we will go SS or DT. And probably SS if we don't resign Church.

In this scenario, I hope we go DT. I kinda view SS as the RB of the defense, in that I think I can find more than a serviceable one day 2.

C. Davis is not only the top WR in the draft, but he's in a completely different tier than Williams.

I'm think Williams is really good too but I'm with on Corey Davis, he could be a better TO at the high end. And I'd be ecstatic if the top DEs were gone but we got Davis at 28.
Also agree with whomever said Dalvin Cook over Fournette. I've loved Cook since early last season, guy is dynamite!

My take, the browns will blow their top picks like they have every year for about 20.

Disagree with the OP that King isn't worth more than a third or late second. I think he can play...possibly safety but he finds the ball. He's also a good PR.

Been doing my mocks...and have noticed a few trends I will share.

-CB position is deep through the first 3 rounds..you don't need to reach for one in round 1.

-the DE position/pass rushers is pretty deep as well after the first couple of rounds.

Tanoh Kpassagnon Villanova
Carroll Phillips Illinois
Tarell Basham Ohio
Ryan Anderson Alabama
Chris Wormley Michigan
Joe Mathis OLB Washington
Deatrich Wise Jr. DE Arkansas
Bryan Cox Jr DE/DT Florida
Derek Rivers DE Youngstown St.
Garrett Sickels DE Penn St.
Daeshon Hall DE Texas A&M
Devonte Fields DE Louisville
Trey Hendrickson DE Florida Atlantic
Darius English OLB S. Carolina
Alex Barrett DE/OLB San Diego St.
Josh Carraway DE TCU

There are plenty of good WRs after the first couple of rounds...

Dede Westbrook WR Oklahoma
Cooper Kupp WR E. Washington
Isaiah Ford WR Virginia Tech
K.D. Cannon WR Baylor
Amara Darboh WR Michigan
Malachi Dupre WR LSU
Chad Hansen WR California
Noah Brown WR Ohio St.
Carlos Henderson WR Louisiana Tech
Travis Rudolph WR Florida St
Jehu Chesson WR Michigan
Josh Reynolds WR Texas A&M
Jalen Robinette WR Air Force
Josh Malone WR Tennessee
Damore'ea Stringfellow WR Ole Miss
Chris Godwin WR Penn St.
Stacy Coley WR Miami
Ricky Seals-Jones WR Texas A&M
Chad Williams WR Grambling St.

Probably could add 10 more names to that list.:p

-If you want an impact DT...you better get one early. Same for SS....and ILBer. Think that is gonna be a hot commodity.

-The quality of O-lineman this year is poor....after the top teir guys are gone.

-Could be some sneaky quality picks @ QB..day 3.

Brad Kaaya QB Miami
Patrick Mahomes QB Texas Tech
Davis Webb QB Cal
Joshua Dobbs QB Tennessee
Nathan Peterman QB Pittsburgh
Sefo Liufau QB Colorado

-OL Guys that I think are gonna get drafted....But I wouldn't touch:rolleyes: Look like pass protection liabilities.

Zach Banner T/G USC
Adam Bisnowaty RT Pittsburgh
David Sharpe OT Florida
Erik Magnuson RT Michigan

-A lot of quality RBs late.....But isn't that always the case?

-Got a feeling TE Jake Butt is gonna slide because of the knee injury. Too many quality players to take a chance on a TE w/ a injuried knee. Last year Nick Vannette slid to late round 3...w/o a a knee injury. Same type of player. Wouldn't shock me to see JB slide to day 3...a team like Chicago w/ multiple 4ths take a chance.

-Myles Garrett DE Texas A&M....I wouldn't take him #1. Takes too many plays off for my taste.

-The best player/most bang for the buck... in this draft might be...Malik Hooker FS Ohio St.:D

-Players I love/pet cats...

Malik Hooker FS Ohio St. (3 contract player)
Solomon Thomas DT Stanford (3 contract player)
Corey Davis WR WMU
Reuben Foster LB Alabama
Tim Williams LB Alabama
Raekwon McMillan MLB Ohio St
Zach Cunningham LB Vanderbilt
Dan Feeney RG Indiana
Zay Jones WR E. Carolina
DeMarcus Walker DE FSU
D'Onta Foreman RB Texas
Jarron Jones DE5 Notre Dame
Carlos Watkins DT Clemson
Obi Melifonwu SS Connecticut
Fabian Moreau CB UCLA
Jake Butt TE Michigan
Deatrich Wise Jr. DE Arkansas
Derek Rivers DE Youngstown St.
Ejuan Price LB/DE Pittsburgh
Tyus Bowser OLB Houston
Ahmad Thomas SS Oklahoma
Lorenzo Jerome FS St. Francis
Trey Hendrickson DE Florida Atlantic
Dimitric Camiel RT Indiana
Keionta Davis DE Chattanooga
Connor Harris LB Lindenwood
Gehrig Dieter WR Alabama

Tedric Thompson
Jake Butt
Obi Melifonwu

Eddie Jackson
Terrell Basham
Bucky Hodges

Most underrated is Tedric Thompson

Can't see them contributing out of gate, but long run I like the potential.
