TJ Watt is picked in the top 25.
Jabrill Peppers continues his free fall until the Patriots pick him at 32 and try to turn him in to Troy Brown.
Cooper Kupp passes the eye test at the combine (6'2, 215) and is picked in the first.
5 TEs are going to be picked in the top 50.
One of the top three QBs falls out of the first
Malik McDowell does not get picked in the first

I see CLE and SF both trading out of #1 and #2. CLE because they overvalue quantity over quality and SF to position themselves better for QB. I think it will be CAR with CLE to get Garrett and TEN with SF to get Allen.

Garoppolo will take a QB needy team off the list of potential QB landing spots. I bet it's CHI for their top of RD2 pick.

I'll up the ante on Mahomes. Top 15 pick in RD1. Arizona at 13. (Assuming no shoulder concerns.)

Not sure Zach Cunningham is the sure fire mid RD1 prospect he's been billed as. Very agile, electric athlete, quick recognition and good awareness, but his tackling is not LB quality. A lot of arm tackling and frequently has to sling people down due to limited strength and playing tall. College linemen don't really get a clean shot on him due to his agility but I'm not sure that will be the same story in NFL. He's the first one to the ball carrier but more often than not I just see him hold up the player while others come in to finish. Most RBs will knock him backwards. I think you have to project him adding bulk but he's very narrow. In any case, I think he's strictly OLB.

Marshon Lattimore...I don't dislike him, but I'm not seeing the top 10 pick he's getting mocked as. The OSU pass rush covers up a lot and the CBs don't have to hold coverage long. They're also the beneficiaries of QBs rushing their pass, throwing on the run, or making bad decisions. Plays made by the CBs are often not the work of the CBs. Lattimore bails out of his backpedal quickly. Combine will reveal if that's technique or an athletic limitation. Conley looks more comfortable in coverage to me, plays tighter throughout the route, and is more often in position to contest the catch (but is weak in run support).

Dallas ignores CB and DE in round 1. Watch it be Christian McCaffrey as BPA and RKG with a plan to put him at WR, and back up Zeke, and also fill KR/PR role. Posting it now because my computer will be broken if this happens.

Obviously prefer a DE or CB they like is available and taken. Also prefer a WR or TE. Or an OT. But...

Suppose McCaffrey is the last guy available with a Round 1 grade. Is the thought of raking him that far beyond the pale? He immediately replaces at least two roles - Dunbar and Whitehead. He is a better inside runner than perceived and maybe replaces the McFadden/Morris role.

He is probably what they hoped of Dunbar on serious steroids. The jet sweep suddenly becomes a major weapon. He can probably be a good slot receiver. He is also insurance of a sort against a Zeke injury.

He could probably touch the ball 15-20 times a game without impacting Zeke's touches. He is an electric runner.

OK... prepared for the bashing and will take it in all good nature.

Watt as a 1st rounder is juicy.
Kupp already measured in at 6'-1", 198 lbs at the Senior Bowl.
QB falling out of the 1st round. Yep
Malik McDowell not a 1st rounder? I could see that. I could also see him being one of the 1st off the board at the start of the 2nd round.

Great takes!

He would never reach his potential here. A team like the Pats would get the most out of him. But I do agree with your point he's a much better version of Dunbar.

Thanks. I think McDowell is too much of a utility player and he has a slide like the two Alabama DTs had last year.

I can't believe the hype on Mahomes. This guy couldn't read a defense, couldn't sense pressure and made way too many mistakes.

I just dont see McCaffery in Dallas. I could see him in NE or Den though, and be a nice player there.

It's not surprising given the fact there are no truly elite QB prospects in this group; the lure of potential really starts beckoning to front offices.

I think Trubisky and Watson both go Top 5, most likely top 3. Theyre basically Wentz & Goff this year. I personally would take Watson #1 all day, hes a big timer like Dak who will get better at whatever he needs to, called him as future #1 pick the first time I saw him at Clem as a freshman.

Somebodies trading up for these guys imo.
as such Kizer will go top 15 to whever misses out on other two. Theyl be grabbed quick because theres no other good qbs in this draft imo.

Fornette and Cook will both go top 10, along with Zeke these two are cant miss impact players like we havent seen since AD and will be jumped on IMO, u cant get these guys every year.

Both WR, Williams and Davis will be gone before Eagles pick, another position with only 2 legit blue chippers, teams will wait on the deeper positions imo and snatch these scarce skill position players first.

Of about 10 or so possible first round CB's, these guys could and have been flip flopped in about every order,If Tankersley or Louis or any of em turned out to be the best of this bunch I dont think anyone would be shocked.

We could possibly get a cb just as good as the guy taken at 12 or so with our pick if things fell right, easily the deepest most diverse cb class ive ever seen.

Free angency will dramatically change our current draft thoughts, whether we resign our db's, T will and/or bring back Ware?

Possible changes regarding nfl relaxing their marijuana policies could have Gregory back in the fold with a whole new peace of mind! Some ballers just need theyre herb mon, leave em alone, can help them drink less for pain. This would be big time as him and Jaylon could be devastating.

Really think we get a wr by 3, maybe even a small trade up, want westbrook or samuels bad!

I have M Hooker as the highest rated player in the entire draft right above Fournette.

Think we could use romo trade or pick to flop picks or move up slightly for a "war daddy"

Huge upside but he needs to sit a couple of years because his game has 0 discipline.

The Alabama players will be overhyped and underperform again.

Wait, that is not really a hot take. It is almost fact at this point.

John Ross will be the best WR to come out of this draft.
After seeing his injury history, not as sure about him. The labrum is one, two meniscus tears and a microfracture. A little concerning.

I'll take that bet....

Plus I bet he ends up on the IR as a rookie. Guy just can't stay healthy...and is built like a twig.

Imagine what the NFL will do to him...Has "bust" written all over him....
