Let me say this I like Ferguson and Hendershot. Good solid JAGs but if we can upgrade the tight end position we should. I would stay away from Kincaid because he is just a big receiver in a tight ends body. Mayer and Washington are the ones for me.
You are thinking like the older days, modern football is all about the pass and creating as many mismatches as possible. Chiefs have a great QB, but they also have had two of the most unguardable players during their run in Hill and Kelce.

We will see. Beating up on the PAC 12 is not the NFL. Kancaid is not Kelse and Dak is not Mahomes so let’s stop that comparison.

Mayer is definitely more balanced, but he isn't an elite athlete, Gronk isn't a good comparison. I have heard the comparison of Baltimore's Mark Andrews. Kincaid is a modern day, mismatch TE like a Ertz, Kelce. Neither are considered strong blockers, but are terrific in the passing game.
Not even close…Gronk is an awful comp.

Hayden Hurst is the comp mockdraftables lists which is much more accurate based on size / speed.

Kincaid is reported as a better reciever but i see it as slightly better. Blocking a much bigger gap. Give me the all around great te, emotional tough leader.

We are splitting hairs here, both are worth the 26th pick and would be immediate impact starters.

Dallas has a long, long history of double dipping in the off-season by signing a veteran and also spending a high pick on a player at the same position.

2011 - signed OT free agent Doug Free to new contract; draft OT Tyron Smith in round 1

2012 - signed CB Brandon Carr; drafted CB Morris Claiborne in round 1

2013 - signed 3 free agent Offensive Linemen; drafted OC Travis Frederick in round 1

2014 - signed DE Jeremy Mincey, DT’s Henry Melton and Terrell McClain; drafted DE DeMarcus Lawrence #34 overall

2015 - signed DE Greg Hardy; drafted Randy Gregory in 2nd round

2016 - signed RB Alfred Morris; drafted Ezekiel Elliott in round 1

2017 - signed two DE free agents Stephen Paea and Damontre Moore; drafted Taco Charlton in round 1

2018 - Cowboys sign WR Allen Hurns & LB Joe Thomas; draft LB Leighton Vander Esch in round 1, and WR Michael Gallup in round 3; Cowboys trade for Amari Cooper in mid-season

2019 - Cowboys sign DT Christian Covington; draft DT Trysten Hill in round 2

We need to be targeting OL & DT
Most years I would agree but not a great DT class. Schmidt or Avila at C would do this offense nicely. Man we shoulda drafted Creed Humphrey over Joseph. SMH

Definitely drafting a CB. Need to draft an iOL. Need to draft an iDL. RB is a must. TE is a good bet.
First 4 rounds is tough to predict because they still need more players than the picks they have. TE, CB, RB, iDL.
It drives me crazy that they always over value the TE spot. We got 3 good TEs already and Ferguson will probably be better than Shultz.
