CowboysZone LOYAL Fan
Would not be shocked at all if Denver takes one of the two and someone trades up to top pick in the second round in a panic to get the other.

After seeing some drafts of QBs that have went in the first round when they have no business being drafted there...it just does not shock me anymore.

EJ Manuel
Branden Weedon
Jake Locker
Ponder

Don't forget Geno Smith...I'm trending towards Zeke.

"Jerry Jones is a big Ezekiel Elliott fan, and that the Cowboys owner would prefer the Ohio State runner"

well, were not getting EE.

Jerry Jones last dying wish as owner of Cowboys

Stephan Jones- "Hey dad, who do you like"
Jerry Jones- Umm, Ezekiel Elliott"
SJ- "But dad we already have McFadden and Morris, so we are Drafting Bosa or Ramsey"
JJ- "Umm, no please draft Zeke"
SJ- "Sorry dad you have been out voted"
JJ- "This is still my team, Umm, you do know that right?"
SJ- "Yes Dad"
JJ- "So who are we drafting, son?"
SJ- "you know we drafting Zeke, I was just playing dad"
JJ- Umm, OK son....

I'm not overly impressed with Linehan wanting a RB. He wanted Ronnie Brown in Miami and he drafted him. Brown was a miss. He drafted Brian Leonard in the 2nd round in St Louis and the guy was gone by his 3rd season. He drafted Jahvid Best in the 1st round with Detroit and he was a miss. He drafted Michael Leshoure the next year and he was a bust. Fact is, Linehan has never hit on a RB in 14 years in the NFL as an OC or HC.

never had a ol like dallas' either

We're bad when we have a bad QB playing, so we ought to move back and draft a bad QB? Got it, Goose. Thanks for the insight.

I guess Goose's logic is: it's better to have a high-round QB draft prospect taken early out of desperation than none, even if that prospect is suspect.

They should add that's it's not just Jones that likes Zeke, but Garrett and Linehan prefer him and that Rod is also fine with Zeke over Bosa. Still think if Ramsey is there, that's the pick.

Did you watch the Draft Special with Bryan Broddus (sp) they were talking about solid Safety not
impressed as much being a CB due to hips and playing with back to the ball referring to Ramsey.
If Safety is our desire go Karl Joseph at pick #34

"Christian Ponder and Jake Locker were drafted way too early, therefore maybe the Cowboys should consider taking Cook or Hackenberg way too early."

Right, which is why you don't need a top 4 RB You just need a good RB. Why spend millions on an OL if you have to turn around and pay top dollar to a RB as well? That's a waste of money IMO.

When that RB is special i say you go for it. Elliot IMO is just as good as Gurley. Dallas was willing to give Murray 4 mil a yr. Thats basically what the 4th pick will be making. You have a special player who will control the game for you and allow the defense to stay fresh. Last yr McFadden did ok, but the guy couldnt get a yrd in short yardage. BPA should be the rule right? Think Elliot is better then anybody who will be available. IMO thats not a waste of money but a great draft pick choice.

Yeah, but this is not one of those Special RBs IMO. Is he good? Yes, he is good. Is he the best prospect in this Draft at RB? Yes, he probably is. Is he AD or LT or Emmitt? No, I don't think he is. He's very good, he's not worthy of 4 IMO.

I'll puke if we take a running back at 4! The whole idea makes me sick. I'll wipe my mouth and get on board like a big boy if they do, but I can't believe this conversation is even happening.

Well who is AD LT or Emmitt? Nobody but AD LT and Emmitt. But i think he's close. I seen a guy who just dominated everybody. He's Demarco Murray with much better vision and speed. The guy he reminds me of most is Robert Smith ex viking, and went to the same college. This is just where we disagree. I really like Elliot even more with the lackluster of big talent in this draft at the top of the draft. You have overrated QBs, a DE who doesnt give you a passrush, a DB who reminds me of a bigger version or Morris Claiborne. My guy was Jack but apparently the team will not draft. Zeke is a safe pick thats BPA at 4

Zeke will not be the Best player available at 4. That will either be Ramsey or Tunsil, just depending but you are right, we don't agree and that's OK.

Their is no way Cook and Hackenberg are gone by 34. If they are, good luck with that. That would mean that at least 4 QBs get taken in the 1st round and probably 5 because Tennessee and Cleveland are still picking the first two picks and neither of those teams seem like they are interested in a QB.

I don't know. The Browns could double back and take one as a back up to RGIII in case he doesn't pan out.
