My girl is working tonight lol so im at home bored, so heres the draft show recap.

Dont know about this draft and its depth. Alot of questions and angles. Alot of medical questions on players this yr.

I need to know about Gurley. If he checks out, Gurley is my guy at 27. Would not shock me at all if he isnt there at 27.. Special talent.

Phillip Dorsette and Sammie coates are speedy but are not natural pass catchers. Bad route running. They should be RD3 and below but teams eyes are going to light up when they run the 40.

Vic Beasley, where do you put him? There are times where he has the burst off the edge, but with his size he is a stand up guy. Would struggle in the trenches.

Too many of these 250lb guys who are probably better on the edge then standing up, but wont be able to handle the trenches.

Give me the bigger guy to play DE. Too many problems with these lighter guys making the transition to the NFL game.

Dorial Green-Beckham, first round talent but has baggage in being kicked off team. Top 10 talent just havent seen him play. Teams need to get in his head on where he is.

McKinney plays more of a DL mentality playing inside LBer. He has problem in space. I see a 2 down thumper. Dont see somebody who you can drop down in space. I see him a RD3 talent.

Daniel Hunter, little light but has that rock muscle on him. Energy and never quits. 6'5 240lb scares you. Coming from a Defensie school like LSU who preaches defense, he looks like a guy who tries to avoid contact.

Twitter on the 20
who do Cowboys get at 27?
Depends on what happens in FA. In my latest mock i have Preston Smith DE going at 27. Plug and play type of player. Plug him in at LDE,

Alex Carter make it to Dallas RD2?
I dont think he will make it, i see him mid RD2 guy. Think he plays too cautiously. Want to see him go after a ball more.

Can you compare Dawson and Thompson?
alot to like about Dawson, such a reactive player. Something i noticed about Dawson is when he is not blocked he can make plays. Watch the baylor game and its a different story in them 1 on 1 and he has a guy on him. I dont know what to make of Thompson, There are times where he looksalot better in coverage then attacking the run. Not the biggest guy. Thompson is such a athlete that he will still go high because he is so versitile. I see Dawson as a RD2 guy.

Why cant Beasley be a DE guy for Dallas?
Size, he's best in space. If he is on the LOS he going to struggle getting off blocks.

Marcus Peters?
Players say something different from coaches. When i see him i see a man CB. He doesnt play zone coverage very well.

What seperates gurley from gordon?
Gurley is just special, its tought to poke holes in his game. You can point to the acl, and thats all you have. Give me Gurley on my team. Picks up the blitz catches the ball out of the backfield. gordon is not bad, but he lives a little too much otuside, not as productive inside. gurley just does everything better.

How do you help falling in love with workout warriors?
Remember and rewatch the tape. Sometimes times dont translate to the field.

Javorius Allen, could he be a midround steal?
I like buck alot, hes not going to jump out at you but he doesnt have alot of holes. Great catching out of the backfield, some speed and power. Does fumble a little. Would target around RD4.

Pay Murray and draft Markus Golden or Pay Greg Hardy and Draft Tevin Coleman?
IM not paying Hardy, too many red flags there, bright red flags there. I like coleman, not the most explosive guy but he gets up the field.

Cameron Erving, was a LT but he played so much better at C. Love the versatility that a guy can make that transistion.

Flowers, probably needed another yr in college but he's just so talented. Saw Randy Gregory eat him up.

Andrus Peat, alot of inconsistency. Over extending and falling over. All fixable problems.

Steven Nelson CB i would love in RD2 or Rd3.

I definitely like the idea of re-signing Murray and still drafting a RB in the third or fourth to replace Randle. Hopefully it will be someone who can more effectively replace Murray at some point.

What most suprised me was Bugler moving Preston Smith to Dallas in his latest mock. Makes alot of sense considering Dallas doesnt need a RDE they drafted the guy they want last yr. But they need a SDE, and no that is not lawrence.

even tho not high grades dont we have a few SDE already?
I'm stuck on the DT's and have read that the Tackle class is better?

I hate the idea of drafting a RB before the 3rd rd. I think Murray will be re-signed and Randle will be cut. Ryan Williams will replace Randle and we will still have Dunbar. Use the 1st & 2nd rd draft picks for fixing the defense. Then say a prayer for Sean Lee to stay healthy a full season.

Considering Stephen and jerry have come out and said numerous times they arent going to pick a 1tech early in the draft why would they pick a backup 3tech in the first round? RB, DE have to be priorities.

Which i think will be Gurley if he's there.

I am on the Gurley wagon and the MBrown pet cat parade
Both of which are unlikely unless they pass on Murray {dont think they will]
I think Gurley is smart business and many disagree.
A stud 1tech would free up Crawford

The other thing is looking at the compilations of mocks around the 27th pick
I dont see DE's that are value picks. WR's and OT's G TE.dont help us like
like defense would. zzzzzzz IMO

I think RB, DE, RT and S are all in the mix, all positions can be upgraded if the right person falls. One tech has not been their cup of tea but Stephen did say they need to rebuild that DL like they did the OL. Who knows maybe a slight change in their philosophy coming?

Depending on what Dallas does with Bruce Carter and Ro McClain, a stud 1tech and free agent DE could make this defense really good. Carter, McClain and Lee would wreak havoc being able to flow to the ball with a stud 1tech in front of them. Wouldn't surprise me at all if a 1tech is the pick.

Gurley...if he checks out could be steal of the draft at 27!

Thanks LM....who were the persons on the show, and who did the main evaluations?
Kind of goes with other things I been reading. Not a lot of depth at some positions.

RB seems to have depth. Maybe a CB. Possibly a DT in the 1st 2 rounds. No impact DE at 27. But one never knows and could be a sleeper in there.
Will see after the combine how the rankings fall out.

I'm in Strong favor of taking Gurley... I think if we get Gurley and he gets the same amount of carries as Murray did this year I think he could challenge the nfl rushing record and he can catch man with our Oline... best Offense in league next year

I like trading down into the early/ mid second this year if possible. I dont see anything i really like there but i think there are good players through the first 100 or so spots. Ill take volume. Who knows how things shake out though.

Agree, if none of Dupree, Brown or Waynes is on the board I would be in favour of a trade down. Most of the realistic options at that point have holes in there game. I would strongly consider Peters as well, but only after heavily investigating him.

You draft Gurley and it makes sense to not have Murray on a long term contract, that being said, you need to draft another RB as Gurley is still healing unless he has a AD like recovery, he will not contribute until late Oct early Nov. Would not like to play the boys with a better Oline and looking across and seeing Gurley and Murray in the backfield. Similar to what we will be thinking when we play the Giants with Cruz and Beckham, better hope we shore up the pass rush and DB's as you can depend on the east going to be a beast this year.
IMO I pass on Gurley, and try and catch some lightning in a bottle with defensive talent that can produce as rookies. Grab a third or fourth rd RB is how I think about the draft in Feb.

I'm not afraid to admit I watch little to no college ball (NFL takes up too much of my time as it is). With that being said, what's the story on this Gurley guy?

Really worth taking in the 1st round?

Could we legitimately let Murray walk and straight up replace him with this cat?
